Flügger is a proud producer and retailer of paint with a strong legacy, quality products, skilled employees, and loyal customers. At Flügger we have just launched our new strategy Going Green, founded on sustainable production, products & packaging and with ambitious growth and optimization targets and with a strong digitalization agenda.
Are engagement, motivation and empowerment key words in your leadership style? Do you dream of managing and developing a small international and highly specialized team? If the answer is yes, and EU legislation and voluntary labelling of chemical products & accessories makes you jump out of bed on a Monday morning, then read on:
We have the job for you!
Flügger designs, produces, markets, and sells a variety of decorative paints, wood protection, fillers, wallpaper, and paint tools internationally, and our Regulatory Affairs Team is engaged in the continuous development of product regulations, both from a legal and a voluntary labelling perspective. The role as Regulatory Affairs Manager is instrumental in implementing our strategy “Going Green” from a regulatory perspective, and in ensuring that we build the necessary regulatory competencies in our newly acquired Eastern European organization.
Also, part of the team is a product sustainability function where Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations are carried out. This function is relatively new and will need your commitment to further develop, so we can supply our customers with high quality sustainability documentation on our products.
As Regulatory Affairs Manager you will be responsible for:
• Engaging, motivating and developing the team
• Establishing priorities and setting goals for the team
• Leading projects involving change of processes, tools and guidelines involving the Regulatory Affairs and Product Sustainability functions
• Leading projects involving new raw materials and recipes with focus on regulatory and voluntary labelling compliance
• Communicating relevant legislative changes in due time for the business to take proper action
• Overseeing correspondence and letters to authorities and associations in relation to product certifications
• Engaging in relevant industry associations like CEPE and local paint organizations
• Act as a resource in the daily operation of regulatory affairs assignments
In addition to the above, one of your most important tasks will be to develop the team into a strong group function that can handle further centralization while also ensuring that we at the forefront of market legislative requirements.
Our new colleague should hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceuticals, Biochemistry or similar and should check most of below boxes:
• Have experience from a regulatory affairs function in a chemical manufacturing/trading company
• Have experience in corresponding and interacting with regulatory agencies, particularly within EU regulations and voluntary labelling of chemical substances
• Be familiar with legislations such as CLP, BPR and REACH.
• Have worked with systems that can generate safety data sheets and environmental product declarations (e.g. Sphera)
• Be goal-oriented and uncompromising when it comes to quality, while also acknowledging that a collaborative effort is the basis for success
• Have project management expertise and good IT skills
• Be fluent in English and Danish (corporate language)
You may be an experienced people manager but the most important thing in your manager role is your dedication to engaging, motivating and developing the team.
We look forward to receiving your application and resume as soon as possible. Questions can be directed to Head of R&D, Poul Møller Hansen on mobile, +45 40647565. We will conduct interviews on an on-going basis.
