Department
Data & Analytics, part of Vestas Global IT, is responsible for products and services related to business intelligence and big data engineering and data modelling. This ranges across traditional business intelligence (BI) to data ingestion from multiple sources, data storage and data preparation enabling our internal colleagues performing analytics. Data & Analytics is a strategic area within Vestas Global IT with the goal of becoming an increasingly relevant partner in business-critical solutions relying on data. We have a long tradition within BI, based on SAP, and we are continuously expanding our capabilities to meet current and future requirements supporting the overall vision of maintaining Vestas' position as number 1 in the sustainable energy business.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility is solution architecture within the data area. Your daily tasks will revolve around identifying current gaps and future possibilities and turn these into solution designs and deliverables that support the Vestas business and our IT architectural principles. Our team works closely with the business analytical teams across the organisation, and you will have the opportunity to explore a variety of business areas.

To fulfill the position, you might have a couple of years of experience combined with a relevant education within BI, IT, Business Administration, Engineering or similar, which gives you an efficient, fact-based approach to your tasks. Your primary responsibility is solution architecture within the data area. Your daily tasks will revolve around identifying current gaps and future possibilities and turn these into solution designs and deliverables that support the Vestas business and our IT architectural principles. Our team works closely with the business analytical teams across the organisation, and you will have the opportunity to explore a variety of business areas.
Your responsibilities include:
- Engagement with business stakeholders to understand business situations and advice on domain specific aspects the best solutions for business demands
- Gather functional business requirements in close collaboration with Business, and translate these into solution designs
- Constantly research and evaluate new technologies and techniques
- Orchestrate sub-suppliers in the solution development phase
- Ensure the right level of quality in solutions to cater for the business criticality
Qualifications
To fulfill the position, you might have a couple of years of experience combined with a relevant education within BI, IT, Business Administration, Engineering or similar, which gives you an efficient, fact-based approach to your tasks. To qualify for the role, you have experience or are familiar with:
- Data Warehouse design, data modelling and solution development
- Designing and deploying data analytics products including the use of data warehouse technologies and data visualisation tools such as PowerBI/SAC
- Professional communication and presentation skills
- Experience with the Azure suite or SAP BW/BI is beneficial
