The Role as Store Manager at The Body Shop
As store manager in our Concept Store, Activist Maker's Workshop, you are involved in creating a new concept, the first of its kind in Denmark, and lead one of The Body Shops Brand Stores.
By reflecting the city's originality and creativity, we want to provide an environment for our consumers to purchase the best of The Body Shop in a premium retail environment , but also spend time and network within the space alongside other like-minded purpose driven people.
The store is inspired and built as a craft studio where the customer gets a completely new store experience in an environment that invites to explore our products. You'll be part of a journey that takes The Body Shop's history into the future.
You will inspire our customers to awaken their own inner activist soul and follow us in our purpose. You are a true ambassador who through great commitment tells about our products and conveys how they contribute to something good for our surroundings, planet and people, through our ingredients and Community Fair Trade.
Your main parts are to develop your employees and create long-term customer relationships. Our values form the heart of the business and as a store manager you work actively to incorporate these into your daily work. With a world-class service and by inspiring both employees and customers, you as a store manager are a driving force in making the store flourish. What type of contract may we offer?/ANSÆTTELSESFORM: We aim for a long time relationship so a full time contract, until further notice (with a dating period of 3 months , probation period)
How much will you work? / OMFANG: We want you full time baby! 37 hours per week
When may you start? /TILTRÆDELSE: We know that you want to start already today but we need to build the store first. Planned opening is in October but we already want you in September (or as per agreement)
When do we want your application? /SIDSTE ANSØGNINGSFRIST: Are you the right person for the job? Then of course we would like your application right away, but the latest application date is set to 1 October

What will you do?
As the leader of our Brand store, you are responsible for unleashing the incredible potential of our people to create outstanding and purposeful business performance.
- You will provide the strategic direction and coaching for your team members and make sure the daily work is managed including roaster and recruiting.
- You will meet our customers with personal service and be a role model for your team
- You will meet (and hopefully exceed) , monthly, and annual sales quotas through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics.
- Learning is the key! So you will be educating your team on new products launches, and providing exceptional support to reach and improve their sales.
- You will not only drive sales (it is not all about the money) but deliver against our triple bottom line objectives (profit, people, planet).
- You will drive and secure strong store execution in your store, unleashing the potential of excellent customer experience, by ensure company VM standards and all internal store execution guidelines are being met.
- Sometimes you will need to recruit and retain a high performing store team who demonstrate self-expression and act with purpose to achieve success, by working closely with your regional manager.
- A big part of the job is to coach and train your team to support them to be the best version of themselves, bringing a spirit of Activism to play to their strengths and liberate their potential for future growth.
- You will also ensure we are a business as a force for good, using our B Corp status to inspire wider change and be part of our family.
Who we are looking for?
- We are looking for YOU that is an ambassador for our brand & share our values.
- You are a natural salesperson with an long experience of business and leadership in the retail industry, preferably as store manager or similar.
- We look for you with positive energy and personality that would like to grow and is not afraid of challenges.
- You love to coach and connect with your team to make them growth and develop.
- You have a strong understanding of figures and key financial KPI’s.
- You are driven by financial goals and strive to reach and go above them together with your team.
- With an international as well as local target group we see that you are able to communicate (both written/spoken) in Danish or Swedish as well as our company language, English.
- Do you also have an background in Make-up or skincare, even better!
