Are you looking for an exciting hands-on learning opportunity to supplement your studies? Join us as an Intern in Novo Nordisk, Manufacturing Development and get an opportunity to work alongside experienced Scientists working formulation of Novo Nordisk’s products. The working hours are flexible from min. 18 to max. 37 hours a week enabling you to combine an internship with lectures at the university, project work or writing your Bachelor / Master’s thesis. It is an opportunity for a unique learning experience and a chance to turn theories into practice.
About the department
You get the opportunity to join an experienced team of Specialists and Formulation Scientists in Bagsværd, Denmark, responsible for supporting the production of diabetes products all over the world with formulation related issues, complex cases, optimizations and validations. In close collaboration with key internal stakeholders in Product Supply, we help our production sites maintain high product quality of our diabetes products.
The position
You will support the formulation team in day-to-day challenges and in more organised projects supporting production. Research activities will be focused on handling and understanding challenges related to Novo Nordisk production sites around the world. The focus will be to understand the impact of various parameters during production and the effect of these on the final product. In this role you will get the responsibility for a research project on our already marketed products. The project will focus on pH of our drug products. You will be an active part of the laboratory where you will formulate products and do the subsequent testing.
- Internship period: 6 months
- Working hours: Flexible (min. 18 and max. 37 hours a week)
- Start date: 2 September 2019
- Internships are remunerated, if your educational track allows
- A Danish full time work permit is required
Qualifications
We are looking for an Intern with a passion for science and drug development. You are currently studying for your Master’s degree in Pharmacy, engineering, Physics, Chemistry or another relevant field. We prefer if you already have general knowledge about research disciplines and key methodologies for formulation of injectables and production. The project in scope for this internship will focus on pH, so it is a strong asset if you have experience with pH measurements and handling and calibration of pH equipment.
We expect you to master both English and Danish, verbally as well as in writing, that you have the skills to handle a large project (with supervision) and the sound personal judgment to make wise decisions.
As a person you are curious and dynamic, with a positive attitude to new ideas and people. You are committed to your tasks and reach your goals and have a keen interest in understanding science. You are cheerful and show a positive attitude towards challenges and you are great at focusing on solutions and opportunities. You take the initiative for driving your projects and are able to stay on top of things in a dynamic working environment.
