About the department
Digital Health IT is part of the Digital Innovation Unit in Global IT. The team collaborates closely with the Digital Health business unit, Global IT as well as external partners to bring innovative digital solutions to 29.000.000+ patients living with diabetes and other chronic diseases across the globe.
Digital Health IT is responsible for the IT-part of delivering Apps that are directly used by patients as well as the backend services and systems that supports these.
The Apps are used for medical purposes and will most likely be integrated with connected medical devices such as connected insulin injection pens and connected glucose monitoring devices. Known as “Software as a Medical Device”, the Apps are heavily regulated and have strict quality requirements to ensure quality and patient safety, which is always in the centre of our work.
Digital Health IT currently consists of 26 full-time internal and external colleagues with various backgrounds. E.g. Project Managers, Compliance & Quality experts, Digital Solution Architects, System Managers/DevOps. We have also established close relations with 3rd party suppliers and developers, that are accustomed to deliver highly innovative products.
The team are constantly exploring and moving into new areas, where new and innovative competencies, solutions and perspectives are needed to push our own boundaries for what we can achieve. The department and colleagues are full of drive and are highly flexible and adaptive in an environment where changes, updates and releases are part of every day.
The position
As an Information Architect, you will act as trusted advisor to provide data guidance for the development of digital health solutions. You will read, understand and design data exchange and storage according to standards such as FHIR, OMOP and CDISC. Experience with EHR/EMR healthcare information systems and messaging is a plus.
To succeed in this position, you must be able to translate user behaviour, medical device and application data into meaning as well as understand, organize and document internal and external data sources. Your responsibility also includes gathering and defining requirements from multiple stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers to integrate data consistently and accordingly based on business needs.
You will be working with cataloguing, classification, and establishing common library standards for both internal data repositories and external data sources.
The position is based in Søborg, Denmark. But since you will be working Globally you must expect some meetings to take place outside DK working hours and some travel activity.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has solid data management experience, preferably from the healthcare or life science industry and complexity is a motivating factor for you. In addition to this you understand the technologies involved in the components that makes up a digital solution, and you know how these are integrated. You are capable of compiling and organizing healthcare data and model it to assist with delivering basis for optimal decision making. Additionally, it is expected that you understand data storage and data sharing methods and how to utilize data for value adding analyses and information.
You have a Master's degree in relevant field and experience with designing FHIR or similar standards. You develop and use best practices to ensure consistency of data models. You can perform reverse engineering to understand existing models and are able to shape new models based on business needs.
You have a ‘can do’ mind-set, which is required to try out new setups and solutions, and you are known for your ability to understand complex information and communicate these in a simple way to your stakeholders from different areas and functions. It is crucial that you can interchange between going very deep into a specific domain, only to zoom out and bring your learnings into defining the bigger picture.
You are excellent in communication and handling of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, in different geographies and across cultures.
In addition, you must have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for bringing the best possible digital solutions to the market. and you understand and value that you play an important part in making lives easier for people with diabetes and other chronic diseases.
Fluency in English (Oral and written) is a prerequisite.
