Blades Blade Introduction Center VBIC Quality

Vestas Manufacturing A/S is an independent business unit in Vestas Wind Systems A/S.

A part of Vestas Manufacturing is Vestas Blade Introduction Centre - VBIC. Blades is responsible for the global production of blades, and has factories in Europe, Asia and North America.

Located in Lem, we have the Vestas Blade Introduction Centre, where we develop, produce and mature our new blade types before we transfer the new technologies to internal and external factories around the globe.

The Quality department is an important part of VBIC organisation, primarily working directly with the production areas, supporting with quality solutions for test lines and new product introduction.

Responsibilities

  • You will work with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), where you will have a broad collaboration with staff functions internal in VBIC and with our technology department.
  • Together with other engineers in the department, you will be an important part of preparing the technology transfer to other blade factories.
  • You will have a close collaboration with the different project teams during the introduction of new blade types.


Qualifications

  • Formal education in Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of work experience with quality management preferably from international production
  • You need strong analytical qualities and be able to use data to clarify to others why quality improvements are necessary, so excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.
  • It will be your task to make sure that the quality part is ready for the technology transfer.


Competencies

  • Are able to communicate clearly, and you have to write and speak English at a high level. It would be an advantage if you can write and read Danish
  • Are persistent, determined and investigative in your work and are tenacious by nature
  • Have good IT-skills and are an experienced user Microsoft Office-packed. It is an advantage if you know the statistics program Minitab
  • Can work in a fast-changing environment where there are high expectations to personal objectives
  • Have high level analytical and statistical skills that you can transform to practice
  • Have experience with the principals of PFMEA; SPC; MSA and control plans & experienced in Lean Tools
  • Master toolbox e.g. CTQ; PFMEA; 8D with a strong background in Quality Management.
