About the department

Oral Finished Products (OFP) are growing and now the DK organization employs approximately 400 highly skilled and motivated employees. We lead the path toward marketing of the first oral protein diabetes product, expanding Novo Nordisk leadership in diabetes.

We are in the early process of establishing a new production facility in the US which will be supplying the market with tablets and thus set new standards for diabetes treatment. You will be part of a project team of dedicated and talented academics and specialists - if you enjoy sharing your knowledge and learning from others, you will enjoy working here. We will grow steadily throughout 2019 and some of us will move to the US where we will work close to the production site.

The Job

At the moment we are primarily looking for colleagues with skills and competencies within Automation, Qualification and Process SME.

Process:

Overall you will play a key role in setting direction for establishing of the new Oral Finished Product area in close cooperation with your colleagues in the project team. You will advise and help your colleagues solving complex professional matters using your profound knowledge and understanding of requirements for tablet development, production, equipment & facilities.

You will be a defining part of a common effort to structure and equip a modern production facility. The development, qualification and documentation of the production processes will be your main focus until the facility is ready for production. It will be part of your responsibility that new equipment and the process meet our strict specifications, and you will be guiding external suppliers towards this goal – in close collaboration with your colleagues.

Qualification:

Overall you will play a key role in implementation and qualification of process equipment in close cooperation with your colleagues in the project team. You will advise and help your colleagues solving complex professional matters using your profound knowledge and understanding of requirements for tablet development, production, equipment & facilities.

Automation:

Working with IT & Automation you will play a key role in our business-critical efforts to establish a fully operational manufacturing facility with many pieces of equipment from more vendors. You will actively participate in all aspects from construction until the equipment and everything supporting these processes is qualified and fully operational. To ensure that our project time lines and deliverables are met, you will have a close collaboration with suppliers, project team members and departments in Novo Nordisk.

You will specify, test and validate Automation and IT related requirements supporting the process together with the project team members. Along with your colleagues, you will define and document operating procedures ensuring effective operation in GMP compliance. It will be your responsibility that new Automation and IT solutions meets our strict specifications, and you will be guiding external suppliers towards this goal in close collaboration with your colleagues. Experience from secondary production with systems like PLC, SCADA, and MES would be preferable.

Qualifications

You hold at least a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering or Pharmacy – or maybe you have solid experience within tablet production with a different background. You must have at least 3 years of experience within the pharma industry and production processes. Furthermore, it will be an asset if you have knowledge when it comes to building of a new production facility and therefore already knows about qualification and documentation related tasks and challenges. This experience you use wisely when ensuring the right balance between quality demands, authority demands and business needs.

To succeed in this role, we expect you to excel at following through at a steady pace. You enjoy chasing sharp deadlines in a changing environment, and you are consistent in coming up with clever solutions to specific challenges. You like to be a step ahead and you have a very strong sense for quality.

As a person you are known for a high commitment to finding constructive solutions as well as taking responsibility for your assignments. You work independently and make decisions in complex systems and tasks. You have good communication and social skills and value interaction with management and other stakeholders. It is necessary to have a sense for details while also ensuring an efficient and timely project execution.

Solid spoken and written English skills are required in this job.
