Are you a Veterinarian (DVM) or similar with experience in toxicopathology, evaluation of pathological (macroscopic/microscopic) changes in non-clinical safety studies and histology, then come and join our department. We are a highly motivated team striving to provide high quality safety data to support our research and development portfolio.
About the department
We are 12 people in the department specialized in histology, imaging, toxicopathology evaluation and different molecular pathological techniques for supporting the safety evaluation of possible toxicity in organs and cells. We work individually, in project teams and in close collaboration with toxicologists and toxicopathologists internally as well as at Contract Research Organisations (CRO).
Job
Your main job tasks will be to ensure an appropriate description and interpretation of toxicopathological changes in laboratory animals in toxicity studies and other safety studies run internally or at CROs and evaluate these findings in relation to human safety. This includes preparing complex reports delineating toxicopathological findings and interpreting test article effects. The job includes peer review of reports and microscopy slides. Clear and concise communication of the findings and presentation of toxicopathology data for stakeholders, such as project groups and safety committees are an important aspect of the job. The job requires travelling (5-8 weeks per year).
Qualifications
You are trained in toxicologic pathology and safety evaluation of pathological findings in non-clinical studies and have a qualitative mind-set as you will be working in a GLP approved environment. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken and have good communication skills. You are a good team player, and you are good at establishing contact and collaboration within Novo Nordisk as well as with external partners. Certification from American or European College of Veterinary Pathologists (A.C.V.P; E.C.V.P) is preferred but an equivalent combination of experience and skills can be accepted.
