Job Description
Danfoss Editron is looking for a Design Engineer to play a central role supporting design and manufacturing of pioneering electrification technology. We are assembling a highly skilled and dynamic team to setup and run a world class factory for electrification products in Nordborg. Here we will be producing new electrification products for a major manufacturer of large vehicles that represent a very important future business for Danfoss.
Danfoss Editron specializes in hybrid and electric powertrain systems for the marine, on- and off-highway and renewables markets and develops and manufactures high-performance power systems for heavy-duty vehicles, machines and marine vessels based on the unique synchronous reluctance assisted permanent magnet (SRPM) technology.
In this role you will support mass production under an automotive quality management system (IATF16949) and handling change requests and product improvements. Your key responsibilities and tasks will be concentrating on design and documentation, testing and verifying suggestions, and delivering production support. Furthermore, you will be communicating and collaborating with local and global design team members to find optimal solutions, and with other departments such as production, purchasing, quality and with external suppliers and customers.

Background and skills
To be considered for this role you must hold an engineering degree at Master’s level within electronics and have gained 3-5 years of relevant professional experience. - Knowledge of inverter product functionality and features and relevant applications and system knowledge
- Experience with test requirements and validation
- Solid experience utilizing processes and tools such as FMEA, DFM, DFA, 8D trouble shooting e.g.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 is an advantage
- Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset
- An independent and self-leading working style
