Click the apply-button to send your application.</p><p><strong>You will join our Ports, Marine and Coastal Engineering</strong> <strong>department</strong></p><p>As our new Structural Marine Engineer, you will be part of a diverse international department at Ramboll’s global headquarters in Copenhagen, and work on both major international and domestic marine projects across all stages from planning to detailed design and supervision, together with our team of highly engaged and specialized engineers.</p><p>We are currently involved in several exiting ports and marine projects, were the interaction of structural design, geotechnical expertise and hydraulic knowledge is key. For example, in live expanding design of several Danish ports, port extension of Esbjerg, new FSRU terminal in Gdansk and largescale breakwater construction for Port of Genoa. All projects where we are doing what we are great at, bringing the technical excellence and supporting growth of the blue infrastructure and green energy transition.</p><p><br>
Our department works with a broad spectrum of marine projects, from feasibility studies to detailed design and supervision. Our team is well balanced between senior experts, project managers, specialists and newly graduates. Knowledge sharing and open-minded collaboration across all levels within the department and across the organisation is part of our DNA and enables us to deliver innovative yet efficient solutions on a high-quality standard.  Your future colleagues have extensive experience from both national and international port, marine, geotechnical and coastal projects. The multidisciplinary aspect of Ramboll and focus on innovation and sustainability, gives you a unique opportunity to work with experts from all fields, developing your skills further.     </p><p>Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:</p><ul><li>Detailed design from start to finish with high level of responsibility and “hands-on” optimisation processes where you are the key player. Dependent on your experience, you will be assisted and guided to grow with the responsibility.</li><li>Detailed design of a wide variety of marine and geotechnical structures, such as quay walls, caissons, dikes, bollard foundations, mooring dolphins, foundations, retaining walls, rock revetments etc.</li><li>Advanced modelling of geo-structural challenges, using FE-software such as PLAXIS and OPTUM to model complex soil-structure behaviour and deformation.</li><li>Design of structural elements in steel and concrete both analytical and by using FE-modelling for more complex structures</li><li>Evaluation and dimensioning of port related equipment, i.e. fenders and bollards</li><li>Life-time assessment of existing structures</li><li>Occasional site supervision (also on projects you have designed)</li><li>Coordination of drawing production</li></ul><p><strong>Your starting point for constant growth</strong></p><p>From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the tasks and responsibilities assigned to. For this role, we believe your starting point includes all or may of the following qualifications:</p><ul><li>A master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)</li><li>Skills in steel and reinforced concrete structural design</li><li>Skills and experience in the design of geotechnical structures, such as retaining walls, piled foundations, ground anchors, etc.</li><li>Skills in FE-modelling software, such as PLAXIS, FEM design, etc.</li><li>Interest in the design of marine structures, or other concrete or steel civil structures</li><li>Are motivated both independently and in teams</li><li>Are a curious and motivated with the desire to learn and develop</li><li>Are motivated to contribute in encouraging our automation efforts through tool development</li><li>You have basic experience in programming (i.e. PYTHON or MATLAB) and are motivated to continue applying/develop these skills.</li><li>English at a professional level, Danish would be highly appreciated, any other language skills are a plus.</li></ul><p>Personal qualities that will contribute to you succeed in this role include an open mindset and the ability to both work independently and as a team member.<br>
