Global IT Data & Analytics Data Engineering & Platforms
Data & Analytics, part of Vestas Global IT, is responsible for products and services related to Business Intelligence and Data Engineering. This ranges across traditional BI to data ingestion from multiple sources, data storage and data preparation enabling our internal colleagues performing analytics.
Data & Analytics (D&A) is a strategic area within Vestas Global IT with a clear goal of becoming an increasingly relevant partner in business-critical solutions relying on data. We have a long tradition within BI, based on SAP, and we are continuously expanding our capabilities in order to meet current and future requirements supporting the overall vision of maintaining Vestas' position as number 1 in the sustainable energy business.
As a new member of our team you will be a part of defining and developing the area within 'Data Engineering & Platforms' which is rapidly evolving. In our data engineering setup, we have a cloud centric mindset with the goal of enabling more employees in doing analytics. By doing so, the aim is to get more value out of data while optimising the platform to perform as efficient as possible.

To fulfill the position, you probably have more than 5 years of experience combined with a relevant education within the area of business analytics and/or IT. We envision that you have experience or are familiar with the following:

Responsibilities
- Engage with internal stakeholders to understand future demands, provide inspiration and collaborate across D&A capabilities to find the best solution
- Ensure the right level of quality in solutions to cater for the business criticality of the solutions
- Design and organise D&A capabilities based on the needs of business solutions
- Orchestrate sub-suppliers in the solution development phase
- Design data centric solutions with an immediate business impact
- Constantly research and evaluate new technologies and techniques
Qualifications
To fulfill the position, you probably have more than 5 years of experience combined with a relevant education within the area of business analytics and/or IT. We envision that you have experience or are familiar with the following:
- BI solution architecture
- Scaling through others - orchestrate deliverables from others and connect the dots
- Data Warehouse design and D&A capability development
- ETL design and optimisation
- Knowledge of the following technologies is considered beneficial: SAP DS, SAP BW, SAP SAC, SQL, Power BI, Analysis Services, Data Factory, Databricks
