As Data Management Officer in the Risk Management team you will have a key role in maintaining and managing insurance related data, documentation, processes, performance management and reporting across the company.
You will lead the transformation of the Risk Management team to become truly data driven and process led by building and providing easy access to data, documents and processes and drive insights and performance through data-based analysis and reporting. Driving automation and simplification of our core processes is a strategic priority for us, and you will work with our Technology department on the implementation and operation of technology platforms to support such processes.
You will be a member of the management team in Risk Management. The Risk Management team has approximately 20 risk professionals employed. Risk Management in turn forms part of Treasury & Risk with 55 professionals of 12 nationalities in Copenhagen, US and India.

As our Data Management Officer you will be responsible for managing our data, documentation, processes, performance management and reporting.
This includes responsibility for:
• our global risk management information system
• our global document handling system (policy documentation, claims documentation)
• our externally facing technology platforms
• our global processes and instructions
• policies, guidelines and procedures of our captive, Maersk Insurance A/S
• our performance management system
• quality assurance of our global data and documentation
• our managing our reporting to management, board and authorities
• ensuring compliance with data protection rules, such as GDPR.
Similar responsibilities may be assigned on a project basis within the wider Treasury & Risk organization relating to treasury data, processes, technology platforms and documentation.
The ideal candidate will have experience from a position in an insurance company, insurance broker or a risk management department of a global company with all or some of the following:
1. insurance and risk management,
2. data management and document handling
3. articulation and performance of business processes
4. performance management
5. management reporting
6. Insurance technology platforms
You have a degree within Finance, Insurance, Business Administration or Legal.
Furthermore you:
• Have excellent communications skills
• Have excellent stakeholders management
• Have excellent collaboration skills
• Have the ability to multi-task at a high level
• Are an open-minded team player
• Have strong analytical skills.
