What we are looking for:
A senior data engineer to join our User & Social team at our headquarters in central Copenhagen. In collaboration with machine learning engineers, data scientists, and software developers, you’ll be working with cutting-edge technologies at the crossroads between music, SoMe, and data engineering.
Making music social is a core part of our product and we want to bring the social features of the app to a new level by utilizing our highly relational data on music and users to create socially engaging and personalized features.
As a candidate we expect you to have a proven track record of providing value by building production-ready scalable data pipelines. Ideally, you’re experienced in working with graph databases, distributed event streaming platforms, and ETL pipelines.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers on building, developing, and scaling state-of-the-art production-ready data pipelines powering the social aspects of the Moodagent App.
- Collaborate with software developers, data scientists and machine learning engineers on building ML-centric music-oriented SoMe features
- Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers on developing novel ways of leveraging our highly relational data to create business value
Desired abilities and skills:
- Hold a MSc. or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Have 5+ years of experience in the industry working with large scale data and MLOps
- Have experience with the life-cycle of developing solid data pipelines
- Are familiar with AWS cloud computing technology.
- Are fluent in written/verbal English
We imagine you have some of the following qualifications:
- Mastery of Python
- Experience with graph databases (AWS Neptune, Neo4J, Gremlin)
- Experience with ETL pipelines using Spark (PySpark, AWS EMR)
- Experience with distributed event streaming platforms, such as Kafka
- Knowledge of C# is a plus
