We offer a position in the Network Strategy team.
The Network Strategy team is responsible for medium- and long-run strategic planning on Maersk’s ocean transportation network, optimizing it to create value for our customers and achieve corporate objectives.
You will be working in an international environment in a key function in Maersk Line’s head quarter in Copenhagen where you will be involved in setting the direction for how to outperform competition.

As a Data Egineer you will participate in various projects with strong support from fellow dedicated team members, to influence business decisions and drive digital transformation at one of the largest companies in the world.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Maintain and optimize existing data pipelines and analysis
- Partner with businesses and internal/external stakeholders, as necessary
- Assist in driving business processes that are supported by analytics
- Participate in analytics projects, extract value, and create actionable recommendations
- Identify commercially valuable insights from mathematical or statistical inference of data and operationalize them into business applications.

The ideal candidate has:
- A technical background with a master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, or computer science with experience in data analysis.
- You have experience with managing data in databases and developing software to support robust ETL processes.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience in database management
- Experience with Python or similar programming language with strong data science ecosystem
- Experience with Cloud computing
- You have an analytical mindset and knowledge of statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with Agile / Scrum practices; a good team player, balanced with the autonomy and motivation to produce individually
- You have good communication and interpersonal skills enabling you to work in a team and with external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in both written and oral English is a must.
