Our team
The Journey Intelligence team vision is to provide transparency on potential delays for key milestones of the customer journey, and is currently working on predicting the vessel arrival time. This is helping our customers plan trucks, warehouse staffing and communicating reliably to their customers based on a live evaluation of their container's journey.
The team is cross functional; engineers, data scientists and UXers are involved in design decisions and bringing new features to our customers.
We try to drive new features based on customer insights and direct conversations with our customers through agile practices, and we strive to automate processes wherever possible. The team run and own all components from data ingestion and ML pipelines to serving an API.
Key responsibilities
You will:
- Design and implement high performance data pipelines.
- Be part of the journey from experiments to inference in production.
- Work in a cross functional product team.
- Put users first: our users define the product we create.
- Actively contribute to the product strategy.
- Design, write and test clean code using design patterns and best practices.
What we are looking for
Must have:
- Solid experience in building data pipelines (ex: Python/PySpark)
- Experience in running containerized applications using Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and able to articulate technical complexity to be understood by both technical and non-technical personnel.
- User-focused, whether responding to support queries or developing new features and functionality.
- Experience in using continuous integration/continuous delivery.
- Experience of test-driven development (TDD).
Nice to have:
- MLFlow on Azure Databricks.
- Github Actions or similar.
- Experience of event-driven systems such as Kafka.
- Experience of Graph Database design and structures.
- Experience of Pair Programming.
