We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our AI team. We are a young team who enjoys working closely together and have a good atmosphere in our day-to-day work. It is important for us keep it this way, so the barrier for entering our team is to be someone others enjoy working with.
On the professional level we are constantly improving our models, our processes and ourselves, keeping up with the state-of-the-art technologies, and at the same time pushing the quality of our code.
Some of the solutions we work on are classified, which means that we also have our own world class hardware, and we are working to utilize it better every day.
The role and you as a person
The role as Data Scientist will be rooted in our Data Science- and AI team, which is the core central for all Terma solutions with the need for AI/ML functionality. Terma’s software development teams are well-versed in continuous integration. Enabling AI/ML functional in our products is a key strategic goal for our top management.
The position comes with significant room to grow - and to impact on how Terma delivers value to our end-users in the future.
Being successful for us is a team effort, and our team is based on mutual trust in each other’s expertise and an informal communication. We challenge ourselves and one another through sparring and collaboration. Basically, we have a team of nice and friendly people, and we expect you to fit this description as well

For this role we expect you to hold a relevant degree in engineering, computer science or a related field with a large ML component in the degree, or equivalent work experience. While your specific skills and experiences may be a mix or subset of what we ask for, what matters to most for us is your motivation and passion for this area and your willingness to learn new technologies on a regular basis.

Key responsibilities
- Develop Data Science AI solutions in e.g. image recognition, behavioral anomaly detection, signal processing.
- Work with domain experts across the organization
- Tackle the challenges of real-world data
Key Technologies for us
- Solutions for production are always Python
- Linux and Docker knowledge is useful
- Standard Python Data Science tools e.g. Tensorflow, Pytorch, Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib etc.
