Senior Data Architect, Nordics – ALD Automotive
Here is a unique opportunity to become a part of a newly established team tasked with building an integrated data warehouse from scratch to serve the ALD Automotive Nordics division.
Your role as a Senior Data Architect will be to participate in – and guide the implementation process and to make sure business needs are met as well as regulatory standards and demands.
With a direct report to the Head of Nordic IT Development, you become part of a team with 18+ resources and join an IT organization in growth. The Nordic Head Office for IT is in Denmark, Taastrup, and consists of approximately 30 headcounts, who work with the development of software, applications, projects, operations, and service support for around 430 employees in the Nordics. You have the opportunity to work out of the office, or from home sometimes, depending on your needs.
The Job
As Nordic Senior Data Architect, you have a critical role in building a future proof business-relevant data warehouse, where you ensure that architectural principles and standards are followed. You will do this together with highly skilled colleagues across the Nordics.
Some of your tasks will be to:
- design and implement compliant data warehouse solutions and models.
- work closely together with the business from specification to delivery.
- assess implementation processes to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations.
- monitor the system performance and perform first second and third-level support.
- be proactive and bring forth suggestions to improve new and existing solutions.
Your Profile
We expect you to be a seasoned ETL/ELT developer and to have experience in data modelling and data warehouse architecture.
As an individual you can tick off most, if not all of the following boxes:
- You have insight into design patterns like Data vault, 3NF and dimensional modelling and can weigh the pros and cons against each other to find the best approach.
- You have strong experience within Business Intelligence and data warehousing.
- Have knowledge of Azure DevOps and Git as source control.
- You have expert level skills within the Microsoft BI tool stack (SQLServer, SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL).
- You have scripting skills for when T-SQL does not do the job (C#, Biml, or Python).
- You of course speak and write English fluently and perhaps also one of the Nordic languages.
It is a plus if you:
- Have knowledge of the Azure Cloud Platform in the data space (ALD will be going there).
- Have experience with automation tools like WhereScape or BimlFlex.
- Have experience with Power BI and Excel.
To succeed, you are a structured team player who acts and communicates in a respectful manner. Both towards your teammates and your stakeholders in IT or in the business. You are proactive and constructive and eager to ‘get started’, but also understand that important decision are made together as a team.
