Junior Data Warehouse Developer – ALD Automotive
The newly established role offers a Junior Developer or Graduates the opportunity to become part of a team tasked with building an integrated data warehouse from scratch to serve the ALD Automotive Nordics division.
Your role will be to partake in the development work on equal terms with Senior Developers and Architects, and you will receive on-the-job training to get you up to speed if needed. You get to work closely with the business, from specification to delivery and use the MS SQL Server BI stack combined with Power BI.
With a direct report to the Head of Nordic IT Development, you become part of a team with 18+ resources and join an IT organization in growth. The Nordic Head Office for IT is in Denmark, Taastrup, and consists of approximately 30 headcounts, who work with the development of software, applications, projects, operations, and service support for around 430 employees in the Nordics. You have the opportunity to work out of the office, or from home sometimes, depending on your needs.
The Job
As a Junior Developer, we do not expect you to know everything, but we do expect that you have some outset in data modelling and SQL programming. This could be from your educational background, or from a previously held position.
Some of your tasks will be to:
- participate in ongoing projects, workshops, and meetings with end-users.
- implement compliant data warehouse solutions and models.
- monitor the system performance and perform 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support.
Your Profile
You are perhaps a superuser in Power BI and want to develop in a more technically backend direction? You may come directly from the university, and with a strong ambition to work with data? Or you have worked with data in some other way? No matter what, you are hungry for more.
Besides your strong aspirations to develop further, we expect you to have experience with the following:
- Most likely, you hold a master’s degree in IT or something similar.
- English in speaking and writing, and perhaps one of the Nordic languages fluently.
- SQL programming skills.
- Basic knowledge of data warehouse concepts.
- Other programming skills such as C#, Python etc.
To succeed, you are structured, analytical and process-oriented. You are curious, hungry, and eager to develop professionally and personally and put in the extra efforts when needed.
