If you are an experienced drug developer and seasoned leader with a strong passion for cross functional col-laboration, we have just the right job for you in our R&D Portfolio and Program Leadership function. We are looking for a Senior Director and head of our Program Leadership department with focus on leading a team of Global Program and LCM leads responsible for project leading all R&D pipeline programs from pre-clinical, through development, launch and life-cycle management.
You will work closely with your leadership colleagues in R&D Portfolio & Program leadership to continue to de-velop the area, to optimize the processes related to efficient project leadership and to strengthen project cen-tricity across the organization.
The overall objectives for the Head of RD Program Leadership is to;
We are looking for a candidate with at least 10 years pharmaceutical industry experience, strong experience working in the drug development space in cross-functional teams. You have proven leadership skills and are known for your open and positive mindset and find it motivating to work with people development and helping others to be their best. As part of this, you apply Enterprise thinking and find compromises and solutions that fit the portfolio and LEO at large. You have strong stakeholder management and communication skills and are able to communicate effectively with colleagues from a variety of scientific and business disciplines. Additional-ly, you can manage ambiguity effectively and have a good understanding of team dynamics and how to pro-mote and support constructive collaboration.
R&D Program Leadership department is part of the R&D Portfolio and Program Leadership function that resides in Global Research and Development. We are a great and diverse team of Strategic Alliance Managers, Global Program Leads (GPLs), LCM leads, Global Program Managers and Strategic Portfolio Management all responsi-ble for our part in leading R&D pipeline projects and LCM teams in alignment with the overall Project and Port-folio

Lead a team of highly competent Global Program and LCM Leads
You will work closely with your leadership colleagues in R&D Portfolio & Program leadership to continue to de-velop the area, to optimize the processes related to efficient project leadership and to strengthen project cen-tricity across the organization.
The overall objectives for the Head of RD Program Leadership is to;
- Lead a team of GPLs and LCM leads responsible for leading and driving all our pipeline programs from pre-clinical, through development and life-cycle management of new assets as well as our marketed products.
- Via the Program Leadership line ensure that the Global Program Teams and LCM teams are challenged to think about strategic options from a cross-functional, enterprise lens, delivering optimal development and LCM opportunities
- Drive project centricity across the R&D projects and in close collaboration with LoB ensure the matrix organization is defined and working smoothly to deliver to the project and program goals
- Foster a learning environment across the programs and projects by ensuring knowledge sharing sessions across the programs as well as ensuring the use of external insights into the projects and programs
- Drive the engagement of the GPT and LCM leads to proactive communication across the program teams and support them in becoming strong communicators via feedback and coaching
- Drive the focus and mindset of collaboration and applying Enterprise Thinking in all aspects of Program Leadership
