We are in search of a passionate Director of Creative and Content. This role has several direct reports and will be responsible for communication and content strategy, development, and execution across a multitude of audiences, both internal and external of the company.

This position will report to the VP of Marketing and will be a key leadership position in the Marketing organization. This leader will oversee these positions within Facon.io – public relations, content, social marketing and Web and Creative. The ideal candidate will have well-rounded experience in strategy, mediums, and execution, as well as good familiarity with other areas of marketing expertise how their role and responsibilities integrate and impact with communications and content.

This role will be responsible for capturing the voice of our brand as well as writing compelling and effective content that will benefit digital marketing, sales, and customer success. Content and Comms strategy should drive growth and as well as Brand Awareness and be purposed across the sales and marketing funnel. This role will work cross-functionally with many departments, including Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Senior Leadership, to ensure Falcon.io continued success.

What you'll do

    • Oversee the creation and quality of content strategy deliverables (content inventories, audits, gap analyses, taxonomy, metadata, style, and tone of voice guides, funnel content guidelines and documentation and training, etc.)
    • Lead global brand and creative strategies for all external communications, including PR, blog, research, whitepapers, and more
    • Develop comprehensive information architectures, content models, wireframes and business rules for meaningful content experiences and personalization opportunities
    • Conduct current state analyses; competitive analyses; and market, buyer, and content analyses through first-hand research, interviews, and third-party sources
    • Measure, monitor, and continually optimize to meet ambitious team KPIs
    • Oversee a small but mighty team including content, creative, PR and Social - providing guidance, mentorship, and career development support
    • Define and orchestrate Marketing content calendar across a mix of campaigns, owners, goals, and content types
    • Maximize the impact of our brand by identifying new partners, channels, and content distribution strategies
    • Get hands-on with editing & guidance throughout the content production cycle
    • Work with company marketing leaders and executive team to further define falcon.io brand, messaging, and thought leadership while ensuring continued alignment with company goals
    • Collaborate with team leaders in Demand Generation and growth, Product Marketing, and more to generate impactful content that resonates with falcon.io audience
    • Manage a growing team and agency relationships to ensure the highest level of thought leadership, performance, results, and most importantly, mentorship
    • Promote a culture of high-performance
    • Establish and inspire staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities
    • Establish content goals and performance metrics with a view to ongoing content optimization
    • Identify and document the content needs of key audiences, across all stages of the customer journey, in the form of content-actionable personas and journeys
    • Represent falcon.io leadership and products to external parties
    • Recruit as needed and manage a communications team to support the development and execution of the communications strategy


What you have

    • Several years’ experience and a demonstrated track record of success in content and marketing communications, preferably with a B2B SaaS organization
    • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, collaborative environment
    • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field or equivalent experience is required, an advanced degree is preferred
    • Demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively building relationships with top tier technology, industry, analysts, thought leaders, media/reporters, and editors.
    • SEO experience is preferred. Knowledge of SEO strategy and execution is a must.
    • Demonstrated experience and leadership in managing a comprehensive, strategic communications, media relations program, social engagement to advance falcon.io mission and goals
    • Creative and thoughtful on how an integrated brand approach can positively impact the lifecycle and consistency of communications
    • Experience in building, mentoring, and coaching a team of communications professionals
    • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
    • Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers. Self-reliant, good problem solver and results-oriented
    • Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs
    • Excellent and persuasive communicator
    • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management and Executive leadership and the broader company
