Your most important mission in this role will be to lead and further develop a purpose driven, focused, and inclusive finance organization – an indispensable foundation in our efforts to deliver value to our customers.

A pivotal role with broad responsibilities

In the position as Senior Vice President for Finance, you will report to Demant’s Chief Financial Officer. You can look forward to getting the daily responsibility of the Finance area on group level, and you will orchestrate and lead the Global Finance organization currently consisting of +200 people in direct line and +300 in dotted line. Furthermore, you will have direct leadership responsibility of 7 employees.

Your span of responsibility will cover areas such as Consolidation & Reporting, Finance Processes & Compliance, Central Accounting, Business Controlling, Treasury, Tax & TP, and our Shared Service center.
You ensure professional financial management that supports business decisions and guarantee correct financial reporting across all business activities.
Through your strategic and financial understanding, you will influence and guide local/regional business units in their financial management and focus areas. Building high performing teams using your extensive people leadership skills is something that motivates you every day.

Summed up, you will impact our business by:

• Demonstrating strong leadership towards the Finance organization to ensure high motivation, strong performance, promoting strategic direction as well as continuous development of Finance in Demant.
• Ensuring reliable, relevant, focused, and timely financial reporting including a high level of management information and analysis.
• Driving financial accountability across departments and units.
• Securing focus on process optimization, compliance, system improvements, efficiency, and operational excellence.
• Ensuring that the organization has the right capabilities and skills in areas such as tax, controlling, cash management, accounting, and process optimization.

Furthermore, you will collaborate with other headquarters functions such as IT, HR, Legal, Investor Relations and Operations, as well as being a bridge builder towards finance departments in sales subsidiaries/business units.

Change-driven leader and skillful communicator

In this position, it is mandatory that you have solid experience from leading a big finance function in a complex, international company. You have an extensive understanding of the entire finance portfolio such as accounting, transfer pricing, tax, financial reporting and cash management.
You have a suitable university degree at master’s level from a financial area of relevance e.g., Auditing, Financial Management or similar. If you in addition to this have a commercial education such as an MBA and/or executive training in commercial areas and leadership, it would be a clear advantage.

As a leader, you know how to set direction and develop the finance area, not just at headquarters level, but across the global finance organization. You are an experienced leader who thrive on developing and structuring a best-in-class finance operation and you are experienced in building teams that have a high impact on the business.
You are an excellent communicator who knows how to break down complicated information and convey it in a simple way to a wide range of internal/external stakeholders and audiences.
