Senior Director, Analog IC Design

You will be part of our Silicon Engines department at Demant, where we develop the chipsets used in our hearing instruments and accessories. The goal is to ensure technological leadership in our products by developing state-of-the-art innovative silicon solutions, featuring world-class performance in DSP processing power, audio quality, connectivity, artificial intelligence, and re-chargeability in smallest size and lowest power consumption.

The Team
You will be heading our Analog IC Design team with 10+ designers. Together with the team, you will be responsible for developing all the custom analog IP for our hearing aid chipset platform. You will have great opportunity to influence your own role and the department in general. The Silicon Engines department employs 80+ engineers, and you will be part of the Management Team.

We work according to agile principles in a matrix setup. The position is a line management role, but you may also cover other roles such as Scrum Product Owner (PO) and project management of smaller concept and innovation projects.

We have started our next major platform development – a platform with very high technological ambition. We are expecting you to lead the team into this next generation of innovation and world-class engineering.

Professional skills
You come with a MSc. in Electrical Engineering or similar and have 10+ years of work experience within the semiconductor industry plus an excellent knowledge in Analog IC Design. Experience with extreme low power design is an advantage. You have furthermore several years of leadership experience.

Personal skills
You possess strong interpersonal skills and build strong relations with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You have strong people management skills, knowing when and how to support, motivate and direct your employees. You have a strategic and analytical mindset and can keep your head cool in busy times without losing the overview.

You are well structured having a methodological approach and can create a sense of urgency when needed for the deliveries to the product roadmaps. You understand how to balance innovative concept work with shorter-term deliveries and have shown proven execution power, combined with strong process- and project capabilities. Finally, you can nurture an innovation culture within your area and can set direction for and deliver a “One Team” behavior.
