PE Blades is a function within the Global Manufacturing organization in Vestas. The function is responsible for delivery of our manufacturing production design, including special projects, development of processes and tooling of the blades in Vestas.
Blades Tooling is developing and delivering production tools for the new product introduction (NPI) projects and production. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and develop the tooling engineers, and quality assure the deliverables into the projects we are involved in
Responsibilities
As Engineering Manager in Blades Tooling you are accountable for a wide range of tasks, but first and mostly securing that we are working safely in line with HS&E Policy, SQDC performance in all we do and into our deliveries within our scope towards factories.
In the team you will be accountable people manager for several employees having difference engineering responsibility, whereas your accountability is to ensure key project and engineering tasks are fulfilled (they are responsible for solving any engineering issues that comes up in a project). A few of the main tasks of you, as engineering manager, are answering technical questions, proposing budgets for projects, training new employees, and working with and across various other departments. You support prepare reports on the progress of any project.
One of the most important skills, as engineering manager, is your ability to effectively delegate the work, securing work life balance, setting the best team for the job - fully in line with our Vestas values. Another skill is problem solving as you will need to be able to address any issues that come up, providing, and assisting the team solve technical problems or pairing with teammates

Additional information
Your work location will be at Vestas office at Lem, DK. Up to 30 travel days/year is expected.

- Recruitment and retention of world class employees in line with our business strategy for diversity and inclusiveness
- Assign tasks to engineers
- Gauge progress of various projects
- Communicate effectively with customers
- Propose budgets for various projects
- Create reports to give updates on projects
- Attend trade shows and conferences
- Support continuous development and deployment of Tooling Strategy into what best for Vestas and our planet
Qualifications
- Solid experience and specific results from larger manufacturing or engineering companies. (KPI's, Reporting structure, daily management etc.)
- Extensive knowledge from leading and developing a diverse engineering department.
- Experienced leadership skills, combined with an engineering degree, either Bachelor or Master level is desirable.
