Manufacturing & Global Procurement/ Blades/ Blade Introduction Centre/ VBIC Tooling
As Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of 12-15 Engineers based in Denmark, India and the UK, who are responsible for managing the design and validation of tooling for wind turbine blades.
Identifying and driving business across key stakeholders, together with maintaining strategic supplier relationships, while proactively working with the Vestas standards and processes will define your individual and team's success.
Responsibilities
As a strong people manager, you will be responsible for the recruitment, retention and development of your team to ensure all tooling deliverables are met, and your Technicians and Engineers are highly skilled.
You will use your insight and analytical skills to project resource and capability demand, while motivating your team.
Your strong communication skills will be an asset when completing vendor/ site visits, design reviews and describing technology roadmaps.
In this multi-faceted role, you will also be responsible for:

- Managing the development process (full life cycle)
- Ensuring adherence to external and internal standards and procedures
- Developing and executing your area plan
- Providing the most robust, reliable, efficient solution with highest performance and best value
- First time right deliveries by practising risk mitigation and verification & validation
- Supporting Blade Factories to increase global and local performance
Qualifications
- Relevant Engineering degree
- Bachelor level degree (required)
- Master's level degree (preferred)
- Extensive wind turbine blade manufacturing experience and/ or relevant industry or large scale parts experience
Competencies
- Fluent in English (reading and writing)
- Experience managing in a multicultural environment
- Experience in a global business environment/organisation. Min. 5 years.
