KP Consulting is looking for a highly experienced COO in the railways business for a specific international assignment for our customer.

KP Consulting is a Danish based company with a branch office in Israel. The mother company was founded in 2006. The company is supporting the railway business with project management, quality assurance, HSE, technical competences, recruiting and is expanding the business alliance with its Railway costumers.

A leading consortium is bidding for an LRT PPP tender, and we are looking for a highly experienced COO, to play a vital role in development of our costumer’s request with responsibility to establish the Operation & Safety for a LRV/Metro line in Jerusalem, reporting to the CEO and having a real impact on the performance of the Operation with an once in a life time experience.

Job Description:

The COO will be responsible for the overall operation, safety and efficiency of the Line and will be qualified as the COO according to the local regulations.

The COO will be part of the senior management of the company and will together with the safety manager, maintenance manager, IT manager, financial manager and public service report directly to the CEO.

The COO will manage all the operation activities, including an operation deputy and engineers, OCC operators, train and station staff.

During the first years of project mobilization, the COO will develop the operation and safety strategy, degraded plans, safety cases, operation procedures, training programs etc. and will be involved in the project design.

The COO will also be the senior operation point of contact with the authorities, the client and other project contractors.

Job requirements: 

Bachelor or master’s degree in business management, engineering, operation management, or other related areas.

Minimum 6 years (out of the last 10 years) of rail operation management experience, including a significant period in light rail operations.
