We offer a great opportunity for an Electrical or Power System Engineer to join a dedicated product engineering team developing generic wind power plants combined with solar and energy storage solutions that connect to the power grid. We are working on the future products that will improve the increasing penetration of renewable energy in the power grid, through an optimized combination of wind power, solar power and battery storage.

Plant & Hybrid Solutions Plant Products Product Design & Architecture
Plant & Hybrid Solutions is a function in Vestas Power Solutions (R&D) and delivers new power plant product variants by initiating project execution across the value chain to ensure delivery of products on time to market, without compromising quality and product costs. Through innovation, development and continuous product improvements, we continuously develop our products and technologies to reduce the cost of energy to ensure highest possible value to our customers and to Vestas.
The Product Design & Architecture department is responsible for product specification, feasibility studies and technical product execution all done through cross functional teams. We deliver standardised and modular product families configurable to customer needs and that meet the agreed product performance KPIs. These products also include wind power plant solutions combined with solar and battery storage solutions.

Responsibilities
As a Product Lead in Plant Electrical Infrastructure you will report to the Plant Product Owner.
Your main responsibilities and tasks will be:
- Technical management of product release projects
- Engage in market requirements from Product Management with Architecture Owner and translate to technical product requirements
- Engage in developing product architecture, product concepts, product roadmap and release plan as response to the market requirements
- Align market, product and module requirements and cascade functional- and performance requirements from product level to modules
- Engage in module road-mapping and project technical scoping to govern plant architecture and ensure technical integration ability from modules into products
- Product project technical scoping & product engineering (module integration)
- Participate in strategic development of future hybrid power plant products
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power System Engineering
- Experience with stakeholder management and navigating in complex matrix organisation
- Knowledge of simulation tools e.g. Matlab / Simulink, PSS/E, DigSilent PowerFactory, PSCAD
- Experience with product design is an advantage
- Experience with design of Electrical Power Plant or components used for electrical power plants is an advantage

- Having a holistic view and general knowledge, and be able to use it to build bridge between the market, the product and engineering in the modules
- Enjoys product design and working at a strategic level
- A solid personality with impact, persistence and the courage to speak up, make decisions, find compromise and take responsibility
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- A true team player and strong networker with the ability to build, develop and maintain relationships in a global environment
- Process oriented and have a structured way to work
- Possess English skills at a high level
