About this opportunity
Welcome to Nordea Asset Management. As a Specialist in Business & Governance you will play a valuable role in securing Nordea Asset Management continued growth while upholding a sound risk culture.

What you will be doing:
• Advise on and manage the commercial, legal and operational aspects related to selection of external managers.
• Monitor actively commercial and operational aspects and ensure strong governance regarding the external manager.
• Analyse complex data and report on it.
• Ensure that the outsourcing of the portfolio management is according to and comply with regulation and Nordea standards.
• Understand the business and regulatory changes in the asset management industry.
• Cover day-to-day actions with external managers and internal stakeholders and represent AIMS in the operational on-boarding of external products within Nordea Asset Management when relevant.
• Perform operational due diligences.
• Ensure the mitigation of operational and compliance risks by following key controls and business procedures.
• In addition to the daily tasks in supporting the organisation you will participate in projects aiming at developing and improving tools, processes and procedures within the governance, compliance and operational risk area of AIMS.
• International travel to USA and Asia is expected.
• You must already be based either Copenhagen, Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo before applying to this position.
You will join the Business & Governance team in AIMS in Nordea Asset Management. The role is based in any of the Nordics. The candidate must already be based in the mentioned locations and have a valid working permit prior to applying.

Your experience and background:
• A Master’s degree in a relevant field (law, economics, etc.)
• Relevant work experience in asset management is an advantage
• You have experience in governance, reporting or operational risk.
• You have an excellent command of English (written and spoken at academic level)
