The vision of Global Trading in Nordea Asset Management is to be a leading European buy-side trading operation that enables return generation through smart and efficient trading processes.
We are operating in a market place that is going through a massive transformation both motivated by regulation, such as MIFID II, but also by other structural drivers such as increased electronification, passive products, ESG, more data, and adoption of new technologies. The changes in the market place opens for more competition as well as new and smarter ways of trading giving us as a buy-side trading desk a range of new options and possibilities for creating better outcomes when trading on behalf of our clients.
Nordea Asset Management has a major presence in the Nordics and with a growing European and International presence. Within the Investments area Global Trading is responsible for order creation and trade execution on behalf of portfolio managers across Equities, Fixed Income and FX supporting them with their investment strategies. On an annual basis we create and trade close to one million transactions with a total annual trading volume of approximately two trillion EURs. Our trading operation is therefore a crucial part of the overall investment process and given the development in the market place even more important to Nordea Asset Management in the future.
For those reasons we are investing into our trading operation and therefore looking for a third enthusiastic and skilled student to join us in Global Trading to assist us run and develop our business.
About this opportunity
As a student in Global Trading you will interact with many different people from all parts of our trading unit as well as stakeholders in other parts of Nordea Asset Management. The position is primarily anchored in the Implementation team where you will work with assignments like order generation, flow management, pre-trade controlling and monitoring and controlling portfolio dispersions. Through your different assignments and tasks you will become an integrated part of our operation and therefore get to learn and develop your skills within portfolio construction, trading and capital markets.
Some of the activities entail but are not limited to:
In terms of working hours we expect that you will work around 20 hours per week on average and that you are able to fit your schedule to assist during peaks.
The role is based in Copenhagen.
