Finance Business Partner for Asset Management

Your new team

You will become part of both our Group Budgeting & Internal Reporting team and our Asset Management team.

The Group Budgeting & Internal Reporting team is a small team of currently three fulltime employees and one Student Assistant – but with expectations of expanding. We are responsible for our financial data warehouse, collecting and using financial data to deliver financial insight and high-quality reports, as well as internal budgeting, aiming to link our financially guided measures to the market (EBITDA and profit) directly to the performance of our core business.

The Asset Management department consists of 92 colleagues, based in Denmark, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, and Brazil. The department consists of Technical Asset Management, Commercial Asset Management, Operations & Maintenance, and PPA & Energy Trading. The team is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of power-producing assets, offering asset management services for both internal and external assets, and providing power sales services. We are committed to sustainable energy solutions and are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our team.

You will be based in our office in Denmark, sitting physically together with the Asset Management team, but working closely with both departments.

How you will create an impact

As our new Finance Business Partner, you will be dedicated to Asset Management and play a crucial role in enhancing financial transparency and performance within the business area. You will work collaboratively with the Asset Management team, as well as the wider global finance community. This role involves ensuring that ERP systems are calibrated to support the new financial model and overseeing the implementation of essential master data. Your role will focus both on the financial aspects of a service business, where our teams are delivering technical, commercial, and financial services within and across borders, as well as the financial aspects of our renewable assets portfolio. You moreover work closely with the Data Product Owner in finance and IT to contribute with new ideas and actively participate in their implementation.

Key responsibilities include

• You act as a trusted advisor to the Head of Asset Management, offering financial analysis, guidance, and assistance in problem-solving for the Asset Management team.
• You collaborate closely with the team and the global finance community to define and implement a new financial model for Asset Management, which aligns with the business's strategic goals.
• You ensure that ERP systems are configured to accurately generate transactions in line with the financial model.
• You oversee the implementation and management of financial master data to maintain and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• You implement business unit-specific software solutions in coordination with the ERP team to streamline operations.
• You control production volume data and maintain a single source of truth.
• You handle financial controlling of consolidated Powerplants (IPP Portfolio) and for Asset Management services, and report variances to management and stakeholders.
• You define and manage reporting requirements for asset and service responsible to ensure adherence to group financial policies and deadlines.
• You enforce data accuracy and take ownership of AM Power BI performance management reports and their communication.
• You lead the group budgeting and forecasting processes for Asset Management.
• You simplify processes by promoting individual ownership, reducing unnecessary steps, and introducing efficient technology solutions.
