About the department
You will join Corporate Financial Planning, part of Business Finance, where we are responsible for securing financial management and driving value creation across the global organisation. You will be part of a young and dynamic finance department consisting of 45 dedicated employees split into 7 teams. We aim to act as true business partners based on strong financial competencies combined with a solid understanding of the business in which we operate. We therefore collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation and invest significantly in developing our employees through e.g. close sparring and feedback, by giving a high level of responsibility to individuals and through our academy training programme.
The job
As Finance Partner in R&D Finance Partnering you will be responsible for finance partnering and driving value creation in the portfolio of early research projects. This means partnering proactively with key stakeholders mainly at senior managerial level to support strategic discussions with financial insights and driving the financial agenda in general. As Finance Partner you are responsible for ensuring a strong link between strategy and resource allocation and are expected to independently drive an agenda with focus on clear prioritisations and ongoing focus on optimisation of how resources are spent.
In this role you will apply your strong finance toolbox, build on a strong business understanding, interact with stakeholders across the organisation globally and get insights to the strategic priorities of Novo Nordisk. While a basic scientific understanding and knowledge about Novo Nordisk’s therapy areas is preferred, it is not a must – most important thing is that you are curious and willing to invest your time to get to know the ins and outs of the Novo Nordisk pipeline.
Furthermore, in order to optimise the financial processes, resource allocation and influence the development in R&D Finance Partnering- you will be involved in various projects as well as prepare ad-hoc analyses for senior management.
Qualifications
You hold a master’s degree within business or economics with excellent results and have at least 2 years of relevant job experience. You have a strong drive, great analytical skills, eye for details and a natural curiosity to learn about the pharmaceutical value chain. Furthermore, you have good collaboration and communication skills, including being fluent in English as well as being able to relate to people at all levels of the organisation.
