Technical Business Analyst – Configuration and Development

Are you an experienced configuration specialist with flair and insight in solution architecture? Do you have hands-on experience with Java programming and one or more scripting languages? Do you want to play a key role in the continued development and improvement of one of Novo Nordisk’s largest IT systems, the novoGloW platform, and develop your skills in a truly global IT organisation? Then this role could be the right opportunity. It is located in Novo Nordisk A/S’s HQ in Denmark.

The department and the IT platform

In Quality & Facilities IT, within Global IT, you will be part of managing, developing and improving a suite of GxP critical IT systems, where you will be focused on the novoGloW applications. novoGloW is an EtQ Reliance workflow platform currently running eight applications that support core processes to Global Quality and Global Safety in Novo Nordisk A/S. The application architecture/framework is based on technologies such as Java, Python, SQL, JSP, Windows Server with Tomcat and Terracotta, Oracle Database and elastic stack (in-house monitoring).

There are 14 specialists in Quality Solutions, working with development projects and 3rd level support to the applications, and they are supported by 1st and 2nd level support in India. The department is highly engaged, have a good atmosphere and shares knowledge and best practice. Furthermore, the department is involved in projects with line of business, working closely to ensure that business processes are supported by the IT system.

About the job

In your role as Technical Business Analyst with-in Configuration, Development but also test automation engineer/lead-role. You will act as solution architect in connection with scoping and executing business requirements. You will review, evaluate and make technical requirements. You will also do hands-on development with configuration of the applications according to the technical requirements. Update the relevant documentation. Design test automation scripts e.g. Leapwork. Finally, you will hand over the solutions to operations. This gives you a unique opportunity to work with end-to-end projects. You will join an agile delivery team, which is highly competent and engaged. You like the dynamics of working across all areas, development/configuration, documentation and test automation. You are flexible team player, who has a mindset of doing what is needed for the team to succeed as whole.

You will be in a key position to mature and improve the platform and systems. You will work primarily with configuration and development of the platform, as-well as 3rd level support. In your daily work, you will interact with your colleagues in the delivery team, business process owners, scrum master and product owner, and some consultants, where you will contribute with your strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as good behavioural competencies. You like to take an active role in an engaging work environment.

Experience with solution design, programming and maintenance of IT solutions
The ideal candidate combines a B. Sc or M.Sc. degree in Computer Science with some years of working experience with specification, design, development, implementation and maintenance of IT applications. Your technical skills include Web-services, Java programming, Python or other scripting languages, SQL queries, and experience with application servers (e.g. Tomcat). Furthermore, you have a high level in written and oral English. It is a benefit if you have experience with performance optimisations, database tuning, performance and load test and application monitoring.

As a person, you are characterised by being able to work in a dynamic environment that requires flexibility, prioritisation, independence and solution orientation. You are confident in yourself, dares to question designs and requests, and through your analytical skills you find solutions. While at the same time managing your own projects, you also appreciate to be part of a team that you can engage and socialise with. In general, you contribute with a positive outgoing spirit.
