Welcome to Governance, Risk and Control
You will join a team of 3 colleagues – 1 middle office manager and 2 financial analysts – and together, we run our control framework, whistle-blower system and middle office function. We are a part of the Group Reporting and Controlling department, responsible for internal and external accounting for the entire company.
In the department, we collaborate closely and are good at helping each other out. At the same time, we have a dynamic and professional atmosphere where we are ambitious about our careers and making a difference for DSV. We are ambitious but enjoy our informal way of communicating.
You help us design our processes and crunch our numbers
One of your main tasks is to contribute to the rollout of a new control framework by helping us design the framework and involving the local accountants to ensure that their needs and ways of working are met.
Another important aspect of your job is handling whistle-blower cases. You will read these on behalf of group management and asses which measures we should take. Sometimes an issue can be solved by a whistle-blower turning to their nearest manager, and in other cases, we need to start an investigation.
Furthermore, you will be involved in streamlining our external auditing process, since our recent acquisition among other things makes our set-up complex

You help us design our processes and crunch our numbers

Some of your other tasks will be to:
- Be involved in the implementation of a new financial close management system
- Handle requests from local accountants regarding tressure limits – approve business cases and help with sorting out cash flows
- Support our local accountants in their dialogue with our external auditor in collaboration with our legal department and contribute to discussions concerning fee and scope at group level

No matter how experienced you are, you are able to work independently, and you have a flexible approach to your working day, since we never know how many whistle-blower cases we will receive.
Professionally, we imagine that you:
- Have a formal education as an accountant
- Have a few years of experience working in a big firm of accountants or in a controlling department in a big company
- Have an interest in banking and maybe even a bit of experience in the field
- Understand cash flow models and control frameworks
- Speak and write English effortlessly
