Location:Europe, Home Office close to or at one of our CMD sites in Europe
Summary:
The Market Intelligence Analyst is responsible for strategic marketing deliverables in the EMEA region. This role has a dual reporting to the Global Market Intelligence Leader and the Regional Marketing Leader for EMEA. This position is also an integral part of the global marketing team and has interactions with product marketing leaders and vertical marketing leaders. Besides regular deliverables such as quarterly competitive analysis and support on market sizing and growth rates, this role is responsible for supporting QBR and AOP needs related to market dynamics in EMEA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support both the Global Market Intelligence leader and the EMEA Regional Marketing director with competitive analysis and strategic thinking.
- Align regional deliverables for the EMEA region with Global Market Intel leader.
- Responsible for understanding competitive landscape and competitors in EMEA. Align with EMEA stakeholders how to share insights.
- Partner with Vertical Marketing teams to drive better understanding of customer needs in those segments, as well as pain points.
- Partner with Regional Marketing Director and his/her team to share insights on segmentation and customer profiling in EMEA.
- Support Global Market Intel leader on market sizing and growth rate assumptions and modeling for EMEA.
- Support Global Market Intelligence Leader and Regional Marketing Director to prioritize projects for the EMEA region and responsible for project execution. Projects are requests for research, analysis and insights that fall outside regular deliverables, typically on a quarterly basis.
- Aligns and works in mutual support with similar Business Unit Market Intelligence/Development Positions.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or Engineering; MS, Ph.D. or MBA highly desirable.
- 5-7 years work experience with solid analytic/scientific technology and market knowledge. Prior experience in Marketing, Strategy or Finance.
- Good analytical skills and ability to think strategically.
- Experienced communicator, both written and oral.
- Ability to travel 10%. (Since the role is home office based it provides good flexibility in organizing the works and travel).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Capacity to develop a strategic understanding of the Thermo Scientific brand, the life sciences industry, analytical instrumentation, consumables and software.
- Ability to improve marketing ROI and directly impact revenue.
- Excellent strategic thinker with solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to plan, execute and measure with a strong sense of urgency to drive results.
- Collaborative approach to developing and sharing strategy, tactics and analytics.
- Ability to form relationships with Commercial and Business Unit counterparts and influence without authority. Responsive to commercial needs.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
