We offer a finance business partner position based in Copenhagen. The position will work closely with the Fleet Technology department and be overall responsible for driving financial performance across various metrics including cross-functional projects.
Fleet Technology is an integrated part of Maersk Fleet Management & Technology, which is overall responsible for operating our vessels safely and efficiently and for developing future vessels alleviating our industry’s sustainability.
Fleet Technology is a highly specialized maritime engineering competence centre. The Fleet Technology department ensures that great ideas are brought to life, and hence this part of our group, plays a crucial role in our efforts to reduce Maersk carbon foot print.
For the finance business partner, this also means, that the financial performance management needs to delicately balance financial results with our continuous efforts to improve safety and sustainability.
In Business Finance, we are in the early stages of our finance business partnering journey, thus you will get the opportunity to contribute in getting basics for good business partnering in place. You will be empowered to define, what that entails for your business unit and it will require you to take an open-minded look at what we do today and suggest new ideas for improving.
You will be part of a business finance team of 15 people, all interacting closely with stakeholders in Fleet Management & Technology and other highly skilled colleagues across the Maersk Finance function.

You will report to the Head of Business Finance - Fleet Management & Technology working closely with senior business stakeholders and across the Finance function incl. our global service centre.
You will be responsible for driving the financial planning processes in Fleet Technology, which includes collaboration with Fleet Technology stakeholders and process owners in Maersk Finance.
In addition, you will be responsible for performance reporting and presenting the same to senior management. You are expected to obtain a thorough understanding of the business including assessing project benefits and combine these with financial insights.
Specific responsibilities include:
Define and drive the overall financial performance management framework in Fleet Technology incl. meeting structure, key performance indicators (leading and lagging), management reporting, analysis tools, etc.
Financial business partnering across the Fleet Technology organization, as well as driving the financial agenda of cross-functional projects (Capex management)
Financial planning process (incl. budget and quarterly forecast) for CAPEX projects. This includes assessing adequate capex distribution across projects, dialogues with project managers and sign-off with senior management.
Automate and improve current processes and data
Drive target setting process across Fleet Technology.
In-depth analysis of cost optimising initiatives across Fleet Technology
Benchmarking studies and other related projects under the scope of the Chief Technical Officer.
Who we are looking for
You hold a Master’s degree in finance, economics, MBA or equivalent
You have three to five years of work experience from analytical positions within project controlling, investment analysis, financial planning and analysis, management and/or strategy consultancy, business development or equivalent.
You have a sincere interest in supporting and challenging Fleet Technology in driving safety, sustainability and efficiency.
You hold a structured approach to data management and seek to make relevant information easily accessible for all users.
You are an extroverted team player with the ability to engage, influence and challenge multiple stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
You understand how to strike the balance between process and results.
You have a strong logical and analytical capacity being well organised with high attention to detail.
You are a self-starter with a strong can-do attitude, striving for continuous improvement
You hold excellent communication skills and master the discipline of presenting data in a clear and concise manner
You are used to and enjoy working in a challenging, fast paced and changing environment dealing with a lot of different tasks at the same time.
You are skilled in Excel and PowerPoint and hold experience from working with business intelligence systems
You are fluent in written and spoken English. Danish is not required.
