Maersk Investment Analysis (IA) plays a pivotal role in the journey – being the focal point for analysis of all future investment and divestments.
The work here is spanning a broad range of investment decisions both within Maersk’s traditional assets like ships and container terminals, but especially with focus on the growth journey within our wider Logistics business, and here spanning both organic and inorganic growth.
The team also owns Investment governance and are ensuring high quality supporting documents for approval by Executive Management.

Coaching, sparring, development plans and feedback are key tools to ensure your future career path in the company matching your future aspirations, be it a CFO, general manager or a specialist track.
You will work together with a team of highly skilled and talented people in an international environment, and you will join the diverse One Maersk family with ample promotion and future career opportunities for high performers.
As an Investment Advisor, you will work with multiple aspects of our Maersk Investment Practice; developing business cases, modelling investments, project due diligence, setting standards, developing best practices as well as preparing decision material for executive management.
In the role you will interact with stakeholders across the business, spanning Finance and Business Development teams in various Maersk brands, M&A, Senior Management, Risk and Treasury as well as Strategy.
Key part of the role is centered around ensuring close cross-team cooperation covering all relevant perspectives of our many investment projects – ultimately ensuring a holistic view on profit, cost, revenue, commercial and strategic fit from a company perspective.
You will be reporting to the Head of Investment Analysis – being part of a strong core team of investment experts in the center of our Finance organization with influence and involvement towards the Maersk CFO.
You will be working with all levels of our organization requiring clear understanding of level of quality and commitment required to meet ambitious targets and constantly improve our business and investment projects.
With a global company, and investment activities accordingly becoming more and more global, there will be some opportunities for travelling (once the world normalizes…) based on the wide range of investments projects emerging across our global organization.
The ideal candidate holds a Master degree in Finance or Economics, as well as relevant work experience from positions within the field of investment analysis.
A strong understanding of finance and ‘business drivers’ is fundamental to the position, and it is a clear plus if you have experience within valuation or financial due diligence as well as further professional finance qualifications.
We expect you to have an analytical mindset and excellent modelling skills, combined with a can-do attitude and a self-starter mentality being able to see opportunities and invite yourself to the table.
You are used to work independently with an ability to influence stakeholders through informal leadership.
You have effective communication and stakeholder management skills and are able to work with both senior management and employees in a global organization.
The corporate language is English, so you should be fluent in oral as well as written English
