We are currently looking for a detail-oriented, technically skilled, innovative and customer-obsessed Business Analyst to join our Contract Logistics team.
As part of the Contract Logistics Team, you will be responsible for defining, scoping and implementing ideas and opportunities to meet our customers’ needs focusing on performance and cost. You will participate in projects that demand insight into Maersk’s BI platform and data structure. You will take end to end responsibility for delivering new BI solutions.

You are accountable for translating complex or ambiguous business problem statements into analytical requirements. Defining the analytical approach, review and vet the analytical approach with stakeholders.
Other responsibilities are;
• Have a working knowledge of the data available or needed by the wider business for more complex or comparative analysis.
• Solve ambiguous analyses with less well-defined inputs and outputs; drive to the heart of the problem and identify root causes.
• Derive recommendations from an analysis that significantly impact a department, create new processes, or change existing processes.
• Communicate complex analytical insights and business implications effectively.
• Actively manage the timeline and deliverables of projects, focusing on interactions in the team.
• Partner with Marketing, Sales and Regional teams to capture customer & market needs.
• Partner with Tech Platform Product Owners to create technical requirements.
• Partner with other Business Product Owners to define the strategy for integrated solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain/Logistics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Management, Applied Mathematics, Statistics/statistical analysis or other quantitative areas or related fields.
• 2-3 years professional experience in business/data/statistical analysis.
• Fluency in Microsoft Excel and basic knowledge in MySQL and/or SQL. Technical skills with Python, R, Django, or similar.
• Experience with Scrum approach experience, and preferably a Scrum Master.
• Experience with reporting tools like Tableau or other BI tools.
• Experience with data mining.
• Professional experience making recommendations and decisions based on complex analyses and data
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
• Strong proficiency to communicate and negotiate in English.
