As the Senior Finance Business Partner – Decarbonisation, you will be part of Maersk’s Decarbonsation Finance team placed in our HQ in Copenhagen, reporting to the Head of Finance Decarbonisation.
You will drive the work to identify external grants and subsidies to support our decarbonisation strategy, ensure appropriate participation in relevant project calls and use of green fuel subsidies.

You will be driving development of strategies to underpin transformation to carbon neutrality; specific project grants, green fuel subsidies, carbon trading, nature-based solutions etc.
You will develop specific business cases for how these opportunities can be applied to our business, strategy for how to pursue and implement.
You will manage project specific grant applications ensuring relevant internal stakeholder input.
Key tasks:
• Identify and pursue green grants and subsidies opportunities in line with business strategy
• Manage process for project call applications, including liaising with key external and internal stakeholders
• Develop and maintain a global matrix of green project grant and subsidy opportunities and devise business implementation strategy to financially support transition to zero carbon
• Support development of a financial decarbonisation optimization model
• Keep abreast of external developments, engaging in relevant fora to enable quality decision making
• Develop and provide required reporting and support key financial processes and operating system

A person with drive and impact to support Maersk’s ambition of getting to zero emissions, ready to take on this challenge using their capabilities to engage independently with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally.
The ideal candidate will have 10 years’ work experience and a Master’s degree in relevant field.
You have deep knowledge of relevant green grant and subsidy schemes including carbon and renewable regulations / markets and have demonstrated experience of interpreting those from a commercial view point, identifying risks and opportunities for the business.
• Have the ability to think both strategically and tactically to manage highly complex projects with tight time frames
• Are focused on and skilled at creating impact and getting things done
• Have in depth planning and analytical problem-solving capabilities with high attention to detail
• Are confident leading meetings, making decisions, documenting progress, and tracking action items
• Are entrepreneurial, proactive, and productive, with strong business acumen
• Can engage with and influence, guide and challenge multiple stakeholders
• Have the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, and challenging environment
• Have the ability to work in ambiguity and anticipate challenges and solutions before they arise
• Have excellent communication skills and ability to develop high level of credibility with senior stakeholders
• Are a team player, open, pleasure to work with and positive in a group dynamic
