You will spar with our Chief Commercial Officer and the Head of L&S towards delivering value to our customers by developing the best possible logistic products and identifying further opportunities for L&S growth You will also have a close and engaging collaboration with our front line sales and business development organisation.
As a finance professional, you will have the chance to impact the execution of the Sealand Europe’s strategy with focus on growing L&S, by influencing the outcomes directly. This role will give you the opportunity to impact our engagements with the business stakeholders – focusing on delivering value as a business partner and providing actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

As a Finance Partner you will be dedicated to the Logistic and Services part of our organisation. You will hence work as a ‘CFO’ and sparring partner towards your commercial stakeholders.

You will support their decision-making process by providing financial management information, deep dive analysis, performance management and financial planning as well as suggest actions.

The role of the candidate is to work with the business to understand their business information needs and to design and develop an operating model, where performance is discussed and driven seamlessly across the organisation from Frontline to senior management in HQ.

Your key responsibilities also include:

• Understanding and clearly articulating the present and future state of our Logistics and Services products to enable data-based decision making.

• Providing recommendations on course of action, through the different stages: planning, execution, and compliance.

• Being accountable for timely, high quality and fit-for-purpose financial reporting and analysis to key stakeholders.

Through close interaction with your stakeholders, the candidate will perform deep dive analysis of performance trends and influence appropriate actions to ensure financial results and objectives are met and/or exceeded.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate for the role will have a strong background in high-impact finance roles, with a proven track record of driving business results through financial insights

You have a thorough understanding of finance and a sincere interest in working with and supporting the business in driving performance and value

We expect you to have an 'analytic mindset' - being able to zoom in on the relevant details, while never losing sight of the big picture.

You are a passionate and relationship-oriented team player with strong communication skills, enabling you to engage and influence multiple stakeholders.

The corporate language is English, so you should be fluent in oral as well as written English.

Technical Skills:

  • You master key disciplines in business controlling (system- and data understanding and translating data into business insights)
  • You hold strong Excel skills and extensive experience in using business intelligence platforms
  • You have excellent analytical skills

Relevant experience:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience from a business controlling or FBP position
  • Proven track record of business impact

Business Skills:

  • You have a natural flair for business understanding incl. the ability to quickly obtain business insight (business strategy, trades / products, market conditions, network and underlying value drivers, etc.)
  • You take a holistic approach to information at hand and act accordingly
  • You master the ability to present analytics in a clear and concise manner (verbal and in writing)
