Landside Transportation is growing at a significant pace, both organically and inorganically, expecting to triple the size of the current business in the coming years, diversifying the services offered through an improved value proposition centred around our customers. Responsibilities

In your role you will work in a global function across the board, to drive strategic initiatives and support key stakeholders’ decision-making process through insights, analysis and outstanding partnering skills. As a Global Finance Business Partner, you will be expected to understand the LnS business, and global market trends and work across the floor. You will identify risks and opportunities for the business and provide relative insight to the Product, Finance and Global Leadership team, as well as being focal for financial insights, product strategy partnering, forecasting, budgeting, performance management, deep dive analysis, project evaluations and approvals along with finance related business support.

• Ensuring decision-making is based on robust data, and business cases and is underpinned by logical assumptions. Providing performance visibility and in-depth root cause analysis on performance fluctuations to drive L&S performance.

• Ensure we use and leverage simple and standard processes throughout the Regions and Areas.

• Drive value creation and handling performance management across departments, i.e.: KPI, Target setting, monthly forecasting and continuous financial performance tracking.

• Ensure full visibility across the Regions and Areas on the performance of Landside Transportation (LST) business.

• Provide analytical insight into product performance across Landside Transportation products based on actual performance. Own the development of productivity measures.

• Active collaboration, initiative and support across the LST community (Product team, Finance, Customer Experience, etc).

• Be the finance focal to engage and collaborate on cross-functional L&S projects.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate for the role will have a strong background in high-impact finance roles, with a proven track record of driving business results through financial insights and outstanding stakeholder management. Is inquisitive, proactive and builds relationships quickly.

You have a proven working experience as a Finance Business Partner or Senior Consultant in logistic companies. Ideally on intermodal businesses.

You have outstanding financial acumen. Understands and can extract insights from PnL, and balance sheets, understand project KPIs such as cash, NPV, ROI, etc.

You have a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting combined with at least seven years of work experience from analytical positions within finance, management reporting, financial planning and analysis, management and/or strategy consultancy, business development or equivalent.

Key competencies are

  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, financial software applications and BI tools.
  • Hands-on experience with complex statistical analysis and problem-solving.
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and analysis.
  • Well-informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments.
  • Ability to identify data patterns for decision-making.
  • Must be detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
  • Teamwork and collaborative attitude with a focus on alignment and outstanding communication.
  • Driven to be ‘best in class, always seeking excellence and creating value for the greater good.
  • Strong collaboration, teamwork, communication and partnering skills, enabling engagement and influence on multiple stakeholders and the top leadership team.
  • Proven analytical skills, being able to zoom in on the relevant details, while never losing sight of the big picture. Conveying insights extracted from data into concise, commonly understood business language for effective decision-making.
  • Has a visible drive for results, inspires others to strive higher and does not bind by functional and leadership level boundaries.
  • Enjoy working with Senior stakeholders and the challenges this presents, whilst at the same time enjoying working in the engine room and not afraid of “getting your hands dirty”.
  • You are an extroverted team player who is used to and enjoys working independently with the ability to engage with and influence, guide and challenge multiple stakeholders.
  • Requires strong communication skills in English (including verbal, non-verbal, written and presentation) and active listening skills.
