Treasury Manager

DFDS is seeking a Treasury Manager with keen interest and extensive experience within corporate treasury including cash- and financial risk management.
You will become a vital part of Group Treasury with a staff of four. The department is an integrated part of Corporate Finance dealing primarily with M&A. Group Treasury has extensive interaction with other headquarter departments as well as our shared service center and subsidiaries.
Significant responsibilities in Group Treasury
As Treasury Manager, we expect you to take active part in the daily operations as well as the strategic development of the department. You know the challenges of balancing both tasks while at the same time filling in the role as a specialist on financial- and treasury related issues when called upon by the organization. Therefore, and as customary in smaller treasury teams, your experience will come to use in a wide variety of ways. You will participate in and/or be responsible for among others:
- Group cash management, including daily liquidity optimization as well as continued development of group banking setup
- Maintenance and development of treasury management systems, co-operation with back-office and shared service center
- Bank relationship management, negotiations and funding
- Financial risk management – quantifying and analyzing foreign currency, interest and commodity risk and executing hedging strategies
- Working capital management in close cooperation with subsidiaries
- Treasury related ad hoc analysis and project work, e.g. upgrade of TMS and revitalization of FX risk management setup and reporting
Strong analytical and communication skills
You have a minimum of five years of work experience from a centralized corporate treasury function or the financial sector in combination with relevant education such as a master’s degree in business administration (Cand. Merc.) or similar (e.g. HD).
You have strong analytical skills, a passion for analyzing complex problems and take pride in managing daily operations with a high degree of quality. Your treasury experience and comprehensive knowledge of financial instruments and banking products in general together with instinctive eye for optimization allows you to challenge status quo. You have a strong drive and ability to put your ideas into solutions. You are super-user in Excel, speak and write in fluent English.

You excel in everything from recurring reporting to strategic problem solving and project management – your inner motivation, stamina and talent for co-operation makes you succeed. Equally important, you enjoy relationship management and your winning personality and power to influence others helps your colleges succeed.
