Vestas Legal, Risk & Compliance Global Risk Contract Risk
The Global Risk department within the Finance area is a core department within the Vestas organisation. We create business value by monitoring risk while continuously supporting Sales, Development, Construction Projects, Service and other Global Support Functions through the development of solutions that enable sales and ensure acceptable risk profile of deals.
The Financial Risk team is primarily responsible for the assessment and approval of the financial risk profile of all sales transactions globally for Vestas. Such assessment and approval cover the credit risk of customers, payment schedules profile and overall deal structures in the 80 countries we operate in.

This position is placed in Copenhagen, Denmark. You should expect approximately 20 annual travelling days.

Responsibilities
- Counterparty credit risk assessment on wind project transactions
- Project payment schedule and payment security review and approval
- Project cash flow, FX and raw material risk assessment
- Country risk assessment
- Support in interactions with regional offices and internal stakeholders, financial institutions and our customers
- Provide recommendation and advice to Vestas' Executive Management on financial risks
- Support and drive global policy and process updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or similar. Postgraduate studies will be preferred (MBA or specific Finance master studies)
- Approximately 3 years of experience on infrastructure or renewable projects from an international bank, or from a global company performing in a similar role
- Excellent analytical skills are required
- Strong skills in MS Office
- Strong proficiency in spoken and written English
Competencies
- Understanding of Financial Statements and ability to perform credit risk analysis
- Knowledge of Project Finance principles and infrastructure projects' structures is preferred
- Able to interact successfully with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at different levels
- High personal drive and an independent working style
- Driven by finding solutions and creating results
- Able to adapt to a changing environment and fast-moving deals
