We are looking for three students to the following teams:
Trade Processing and Settlement
Where we are responsible for the trade flow after execution of securities and FX. We foresee that trade volumes will increase over the next years, and therefore seek to continue our work using data to optimize and automate processes to ensure scalability. We have high ambitions in the post-trade space and are working on implementing new strategic initiatives surrounding the life cycle of a trade across various asset classes.
Derivatives Operations
Where we are responsible for all the operational matters of the Derivatives; both Listed derivatives, OTC, clearing as well as Collateral Management. We foresee an increase in the volumes as well as the use of new derivatives over the next years and we have an ambition to work on optimization and automation of processes to ensure scalability. The student will mainly work with Futures and Options, but for the right candidate it will be possible to try “a little of everything”. The team is also focusing on changes imposed by regulation.
Reconciliation and Cash Management
Where we are responsible for all operational matters on reconciliation and cash distribution – creating the foundation on which investment decisions, performance calculations and accounting are based.

About this opportunity
What you will be doing:
- Support the teams with the daily operational tasks
- On a daily basis interact with both internal- and external business units
- You will take active part in developing efficient and scalable processes
You will join Back Office and be a central part of the Asset Management value chain under Operations & Technology (O&T). Nordea Asset Management is responsible for all managed investment products in Nordea Asset Management and manages the development, implementation, running, support and management of our asset management product offering. Back Office consists of five different departments and app. 50 people.
The role is based in Copenhagen and we expect you to work 15 – 20 hours per week.

Your experience and background:
- You have started or are about to start on a bachelor/master in a relevant field – it could be within Finance, Accounting, Economy or similar and you have at least 2 years left of your education
- You have a positive and self-guided approach to learning and acquiring new skills
- Fluent in both written and spoken English is a prerequisite.
- You have excellent skills in Excel
- Experience with SQL, Python, R or MATLAB will be viewed favourably, as will experience with data visualization software.
- The ability to work structured and result-oriented, both in teams and individually
