SSI Diagnostica is a leading Nordic manufacturing, distribution, and technical service company within in vitro diagnostic products for microbiological laboratories. We serve a multitude of laboratories, clinics, and pharmaceutical manufacturers around the globe. After acquiring an American manufacturing company, SSI Diagnostica A/S has an even stronger international position and is executing an ambitious growth plan.
Internationally, we offer our rapid diagnostic tests, QC testing for vaccine products, antisera, and several other in vitro diagnostic products. Additionally, we market selected products from external partners in the Nordics.
Your role
In this new position as Commercial Business manager, you will focus on growing current and new business in our Disease Prevention Franchise. This international position will work to plan and execute growth initiatives both individually and in close relation with our Chinese subsidiary. The Commercial Business Manager will own and develop our key Customer Relationships with pharma companies and manage our distributors on a global scale.
You report to the Senior Vice President (SVP) and will have a critical role in growing our Disease Prevention Franchise to meet the aggressive ambition for growth in the company,
Key aspects of your role
- Drive Sales and Growth Initiatives in our Disease Prevention Franchise – from planning to execution – in close relationship with our R&D and Clinical group.
- Develop customer relationships to understand how our business can work as strategic partner and preferred Vendor to pharma companies and other customers.
- Build marketing insights through proactively gathering market intelligence, develop and execute business plans
Furthermore, we expect the new Commercial Business Manager to:
- Identify, understand, and communicate the company’s technologies, technical capabilities, and expertise in a global setting
- Identify and evaluate new commercial opportunities
Your qualifications
We expect you to be an experienced, high-caliber international business- and commercial development professional. You could come from a similar role, or you carry experience in related fields in the diagnostic space.
You will be able to demonstrate, that you understand the requirements and internal decision-making processes of companies. Furthermore, you understand the greater flexibility and resourcefulness required in working with smaller organizations.
You enjoy gathering and analyzing data and information about markets and technologies, and you have a strategical mindset.
The right candidate for the job is also expected to have:
- Relevant higher education level(s) – minimum MSc level. MBA or other relevant business qualification could be an advantage.
- Experience in Sales in the Diagnostic, Pharmaceutical or Medical Device areas
- Experience with Key Account Management
- Experience with managing distributors - incl. negotiation and contract handling
- Good understanding of challenges and processes for diagnostic/life science companies on a global scale
- Strong IT skills (PowerPoint and Excel at a high level)
- Fluency in both oral and written English
