We are currently looking for our new Senior Market Risk Manager to join our Capital, Liquidity and Financial Risk team. The team is located at our Headquarters in Hellerup (DK) and consists of a dedicated and passionate group of Specialists and Risk Managers. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Group Capital, Liquidity and Financial Risks.
The position offers a great opportunity to influence own development as well as the development of the Group Risk and Capital Management function and the strengthening of the Capital, Liquidity and Financial Risk management in Saxo.
Acting as the 2nd line of defense the team’s responsibility spans from quantification, monitoring, advising, challenging, and reporting of our market, credit, counterparty credit risk globally as well as modelling of risks associated with the business’s margin trading business. Furthermore, the team provides strategic advisory and management support on capital and liquidity management and planning as well as internal and external reporting on the areas.
As our new Senior Market Risk Manager your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead in the development and maintenance of the Market Risk and Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB) framework.
- Overseeing the Market Risk exposures and risk profile.
- Perform analysis of the market risk strategy and performance.
- Perform risk assessments and reviews on the Market Risk area from a 2nd line risk perspective.
- Ensure that the internal and external reporting on the area is fit-for-purpose and in compliance with regulations.

Your qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher educational background in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Engineering.
- Several years of experience working with market risk within the financial sector
- Great interest in understanding financial markets, financial instruments, risk management, IT, banking regulation and technology.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English.
