JOIN GROUP FINANCE IN LYNGBY, DENMARK
In Group Finance, you will become part of COWI's Business Support. Group Finance numbers about 250 employees ensuring the financial backbone of COWI. As part of the 'Transformation, Data & Analytics' team in Group Finance, you will be the 'project management office (PMO) anchor' for initiatives within our Finance Ambition – and you will be a catalyst for releasing the potential embedded in the identified priority areas.

DEVELOP YOUR POTENTIAL IN A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS
In this position, your primary responsibility will be to drive, develop and coordinate global strategic projects anchored in Group Finance. and you will be instrumental in ensuring successful implementation of our Finance Ambition. You will be part of the Group FP&A and Value Steering function, which in addition to Transformation, Data & Analytics also includes an FP&A team and is currently maturing its capabilities within ESG integrated reporting. You will report to and collaborate closely with the Transformation, Data & Analytics Director.

Your primary responsibilities will be to

Build up Finance PMO capabilities:

  • Drive and develop the portfolio of strategic projects within the Finance Ambition across Group Finance and/or across Group Finance and other departments in COWI
  • Continuously review schedules and plans across projects in the portfolio and with all stakeholders to ensure progress according to agreed plans – and support project owners as needed
  • Track and facilitate alignment of interdependencies and resources across projects, and proactively identify and mitigate/escalate cross-functional issues and risks
  • Set-up measurement for success criteria as defined in our Finance Ambition and ensure regular follow-up on these, and design and implement method to track progress and provide 'formalized' project and status overviews

Be project manager for 'own' select strategic projects across Group Finance

  • Projects will always be of high strategic importance, and the nature of the projects can be very different; from 'soft' projects where leadership and/or change management is the primary focus to technical projects (in that case often in close collaboration with our IT department) – where financial knowledge and/or data savviness will be a plus
  • Responsibility will entail 'pure' project management as well as conceptualizing/designing solutions
  • Communicate efficiently and regularly program/project updates to relevant stakeholders, and develop formats and define communication channels to efficiently and engagingly onboard colleagues
  • Collaborate closely with key contributors and relevant stakeholders from across the global organization and at all levels in the organization

To succeed in this position, we believe that you have

  • A master's degree in economics, engineering or business administration or other relevant education
  • Work experience as project manager and preferably also as portfolio manager – with proven track record to drive projects confidently and collaboratively – maybe your experience is from a management consultancy and maybe you are accredited as project manager
  • Experience with system implementation is an advantage
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with analytical/problem-solving skills and strong on setting structure on complex matters
  • Strong storytelling and communication capabilities
  • A solid understanding and a keen interest for bringing data and digitalization to strategic use. Strong at stakeholder management and demonstrated experience with change management
  • Strong collaborator, constructive and solution oriented – continuously thinking holistically
  • High pro-activity, personal drive, and resilience to drive change. Strong planning and execution skills – systematic, pragmatic, and effective
  • A strong value set, in accordance with COWI values – "Do the right thing – always"
