Become a part of Technical Product Management
Kamstrup is a Danish technology company and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of smart metering solutions with headquarters in Stilling south of Aarhus. Our ambition is to turn meter data into insight to help utility companies optimise their production and distribution of energy and water. Kamstrup’s water business is undergoing rapid development, which means that the requirements and demands for our smart solutions targeting the water industry are growing. Therefore, we are looking for a Compliance Manager who can take on a leading role in the regulatory compliance of our water meter products.

With direct reference to our Team Lead of Technical Product Management, you will become a part of our team of 11 experienced, enthusiastic and competent colleagues. You will have contact with all colleagues in the team, however in particular with the two current Compliance Managers, who work on tasks related to product compliance in the areas of drinking water, metrology and product safety. This work is done in connection to both maintaining our existing portfolio as well as new development projects.

A job with focus on drinking water approvals
In the position as Compliance Manager, you keep an overview of regulatory requirements to smart water meters and intelligent water metering solutions and you keep monitoring Kamstrup’s key markets for changing standards and legislations. You will be responsible for managing the activities program and you will also work to obtain and maintain drinking water approvals together with other Compliance Managers and Specialists. You will have a broad network, as you will be handling many stakeholders in all of Kamstrup who all must be updated regularly on any changes to standards and legislations, so that they can take action and plan their work and development projects accordingly. In addition, you will maintain and build new strong relationships with our external business partners within this field and over time you are expected to be able to represent Kamstrup in relevant standardization committees.

More specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Defining and maintaining the regulatory compliance requirements to our products across Kamstrup’s key markets
  • Defining, managing and prioritising the overall approval plan across development projects and the existing portfolio
  • Executing on the approval plan together with other Compliance Managers
  • Participating in relevant international organisations within the field of approvals
  • Participating in regulatory compliance audits together with representatives from our Quality department

You will expectedly have around 10-20 travelling days a year.

Personality matters
In order to succeed in this position it is important that you have at least 5 years’ experience from a similar role, where you have worked with regulatory compliance, product approvals and technical product management in an international setting. In addition, you have a proven record within project management and have shown the ability to execute multiple compliance activities and certification projects in parallel. Therefore, you possess the ability to interpret, challenge and communicate regulatory demands to key stakeholders. In regard to educational background you hold a master’s degree within Engineering or Science like Chemistry, Physics, Electronics or similar.

As a person you are accommodating, hard-working and can proactively handle the daily challenges. As you will be handling many stakeholders across our business it is important that you thrive in an outgoing role and have strong communicative skills that enable you to build relations on all organisational levels. You have a structured and detail-oriented approach to your tasks, where it comes naturally to you to work on the basis of deadlines.

The job requires fluency in written and spoken Danish and English. German being an advantage.
