Business Analyst - Audiology
Location: DK – Smørum
Position & Responsibilities
At Demant, we are at the forefront of the latest technology, constantly working to improve hearing solutions for our users in order to strengthen and develop our business. We are looking for a passionate person who wants to use his/her broad knowledge in the field of audiology, hearing aid products, and hearing care professional practice in the software development process. You will be working within an international R&D organization mastering the most advanced technologies and with colleagues that challenge you professionally to be at your best.
As a business analyst, audiologist you will join the Software Solutions organization within R&D. You will be a part of the Business Analysts team that consists of seventeen members with a mix of audiology and IT background. We are working from sites in Denmark and Poland.
The job
You will be an active member of a agile development team working in SCRUM. A development team consist of a mix of copetences such as Business Analyst, Product Owner, UX and UI designers, developers and testers, with whom you plan and drive the development process to make sure our products deliver good user experience. You will also work closely with product marketing to ensure delivery on market needs.
You will contribute to the new development and maintenance of our different software solutions, with your in-depth audiology knowledge and know how of the fitting process. The work involves great variations where market analyses, creation of concept and validation, requirement elicitation and documentation and usability testing are just some of the tasks that you will carry out.
Your main tasks will be:
- Understand the market needs. Conduct research of project’s domain, interview stakeholders, facilitate meetings etc. in order to do so.
- Identify, elicit and document business and system requirements.
- Take part of defining the new solutions or improvements to existing ones in line with the needs identified
- Document the design with descriptions, specifications, models, flowcharts, wireframes etc.
- Work closely with developers, user experience designers, user interface designers, testers, product owners.
The position involves cooperation with multiple stakeholders, both groups and individuals across the R&D organization.
Personal qualifications
We expect you to hold a BSc degree within audiology combined with 3-5 years of experience with fitting hearing instruments, where you preferably have been using fitting software from different manufacturers.
We offer a position with a broad interface with many stakeholders leaving you with the opportunity to communicate broadly and establish a large network. You should therefore show good cooperation and communication skills with focus on reaching conclusion.
To succeed in this position, you must be flexible, pragmatic, structured and capable of planning your own tasks and driving execution.
You must to have the ability to easily establish a high-level understanding of needs and challenges within an area. You should come across as proactive, self-confident, able to take decisions, engaging and informing others when needed.
You should expect about 5-10 days per year of travelling.
You must be fluent in English both written and spoken, as it is our company language.
