Finance Manager, Nordics & Baltics to Techtronic Industries – Copenhagen

Do you want to join a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that cultivates collaboration, innovation, and join a team of passionate people that support market-leading brands, RYOBI and MILWAUKEE? Are you a seasoned finance professional, ready to become part of a successful company that delivers YoY double-digit growth? Do you want to use your skills in structuring and automating processes and tools, and where your efforts can make a clear difference to your team and the organisation? Then, we offer a career position with people management, influence and exposure to senior management.

The role offers you responsibility for all aspects of accounting, reconciliations, cash flow reporting, controlling and compliance for TTI’s Nordic and Baltic based entities. Furthermore, you will head projects centred on developing tools, automating processes, creating structures in the team, and training the organisation in new tools. In your role, you will be exposed to the business, and senior management across the Nordics, and in Europe.

You will report to the Finance Director for Nordics and the Baltics, become part of the Finance Director management team and collaborate closely with your peers across Commercial Finance, Business Development, HR, EMEA Finance, and externally with Auditors and public authorities. You will work out of the Nordic regional headquarter in Stamholmen, Copenhagen.

The Job

As Finance Manager, you will spearhead accounting, compliance and financial controlling and lead a team of currently seven engaged people and two student workers. Overall, you can expect that several Nordic processes and policies must be scaled to match the expanding organisation, and where you will enjoy great influence on best practices in work, processes, tools, and deliverables.

In the organisation and business lines, you will have a visible role through training the organisation in new tools and interacting with multiple stakeholders in connection with your reporting. Some of your tasks will be to:

  • lead, motivate, and develop your team with AR/AP Accountants and Financial Controllers.
  • drive continuous improvements of end-to-end accounting practices and manage an end-to-end audit process of current systems
  • secure timely month-end-closing of the books, head management reporting, prepare and post monthly accruals, and manage prepayments and similar accounting entries.
  • drive budgeting and YTG cost forecasting.
  • manage VAT & Tax reporting in corporation with the EMEA Tax team, external auditors and your controller team.
  • head working capital management and reporting of cash flow forecasts.
  • act as first point of contact for external auditors.
  • continually identify risks to delivery, propose solutions where necessary and effectively manage stakeholder expectations.

The Profile

You are a people manager with strong interest in leading, motivating and developing your team, and as leader, you prioritise communication and information. It is important for you to establish a “safe” environment by prioritisation of tasks and resolving challenges in a fast and smooth manner. You are proactive, robust and have the ability to motivate a high performing team’s further growth.

Towards your stakeholders, you are proactive, attentive and deliver with precision. Your key characteristics include having structure, overview, and an excellent ability to prioritise and delegate. Furthermore, you have experience and motivation for system and process optimisation.

Besides your strong personal skills, your professional experience includes following:

  • Master’s degree in accounting, auditing, finance or alike and with ten years or more of working experience in accounting and auditing incl. AP/AR.
  • Preferably, you have a background from auditing as well as experience from an international company with exposure to a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Solid experience in leading a finance team.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS and Danish GAAP.
  • Experience from working with capital management, budgeting and cash flow forecast reporting.
  • Fluent in one of the Scandinavian languages and excellent English skills (spoken and in writing).
  • Experience and motivation for system and process optimisation, and strong skills in MS Office, and especially Excel and PP.

Why you should join TTI Nordic
