As Project Manager at SSI Schäfer, you will be responsible for the execution of projects within logistic solutions. You will be involved in the initial quotation phase up to the handover and project close. You will ensure a high and uniform quality of the projects and that tasks are coordinated and carried out in line with SSI Schäfer’s standard practices and procedures to meet customer expectations.

With direct report to Department Manager of Logistic Solution Projects, your responsibility includes managing complex stakeholder relationships externally and internally, as well as reporting and continuously communicating on the project’s development. You will organise the project resources and ensure that the project contains the relevant capabilities to executive and succeed within time, economy, and quality. This includes providing the core project team with direction and securing optimal cross-functional collaboration.

Your main tasks are:

• Management of the project realisation from initial design and contract specification over execution to handover
• Responsible for completion of complex global logistic solution projects according to scope, cost, quality, and schedule – deliver projects within budget
• Client and stakeholder management throughout the project periods
• Participation in the risk assessment of larger quotations and contracts referring to the business plan and the strategy of the company

You have a considerable experience in project management from complex projects, preferably in the same or similar industry. Ideally, you have a technical educational background and a relevant certification in project management, but practical experience is highly valued.

As a person, you have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and set goals, get the project core team to move in the same direction and build a good and positive atmosphere.

Travelling: Approximately 15-20 travelling days per year.
