You will join our devices area and contribute to development of new, innovative solutions within packaging, devices & digital health – and contribute to fulfilling LEO Pharma’s goal of becoming the world’s preferred dermatology care partner.
Key player from strategy to final solutions
As Senior Development Engineer you will further strengthen a growing focus on devices in our cross-organisational development projects. You will ensure a device perspective on pipeline projects by framing how LEO will create better treatments via improved user experience. Founded on your understanding of technical principles, theories as well as market trends you will play a leading role across strategic discussions, prioritisations, development and project coordination. You will:
Contribute to further develop our device and packaging strategy Follow market trends and bring in new knowledge to define best directions for future products Develop innovative products across packaging, devices & digital health Handle own project deliverables – incl. management of a great number of stakeholders Be an ambassador for knowledge sharing and constructive collaboration with stakeholders across the organisation
Across your tasks it is of vital importance that you can support and promote a user centric and highly structured approach to product development.
Broad experience within device development
You have an engineering degree at minimum Master’s level and solid experience within product development. Specific pharma experience will be beneficial but not a prerequisite for applying as long as you are fully aware of the significant documentation requirements within medical device development. You must be able to combine commercial and technical aspects when evaluating ideas and opportunities and you can relate it to the overall LEO strategy.
You have a strong drive for results and it is natural for you to take ownership. Your project coordination experience has taught you how to set direction, motivate and lead a team to deliver top quality solutions – and you are used to collaborate with vendors and external partners. As part of this you have the good communication skills it takes to ensure a shared understanding and alignment among all participants in your projects. Additionally, you know how to navigate in a complex stakeholder landscape with multiple agendas.

You will join 6 highly skilled R&D professionals within the Devices area. We develop innovative solutions within medical devices, digital health and packaging (primary & secondary) to both patients and caregivers. We work systematically with innovation and base our processes on design thinking and system engineering – experimentation and early testing is our foundation.
We work in an informal environment characterised by a common drive for making a significant difference for people with skin diseases. We are based at the LEO headquarters in Ballerup, Greater Copenhagen.
